CNN is reporting the Mormon church is willing to support LGBT rights if they will stop persecuting the Mormon church.

Of course many of us do not consider the Mormon church to be Christian in the first place, but it sends a message to everyone who does consider them to be Christians.

Well....LGBT rights are secular and not Christian....so if you support them...:( !!!???

Members of the LGBT community or mostly born with the condition and it is with them for life.. it so NOT something you can choose or change no matter how much you try!

@ShaZakLar

You are right in our own strength we can do nothing

But with the Lord's strength and His saving power....lives are changed and people are delivered from the abomination of homosexuality

With regard to the mormon church, they practice all sorts of unbiblical polygamy so nothing surprises me.

Could you please explain ''mostly" ?

2 Tim 3:2; For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
2 Tim 3:3; unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
2 Tim 3:4; treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
2 Tim 3:5; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

There are born liars, born thieves, born child molesters, born fornicators, born adulterers, we are all born into sin, with the tendencies to do certain things.
There are perhaps even born homosexuals. But God has the power to change all those things. I myself am an example of a few of the things listed above.
If God doesn't have the power to change us.. then why even bother being a Christian?

The thing is, I've seen many many people changed. Ex-drug users, ex-alcoholics, ex-wife beaters, ex-fornicators, and yes... even ex-homosexuals.
Now whether you want to change or not, is another matter.

1 Cor 6:9; Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
1 Cor 6:10; nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Cor 6:11; Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

I particularly like the last verse there... "such WERE some of you". It seems God has the power to change people.

I do not believe people are born that way homosexual or whatever. We are born of Adam in sin liars thieves murders ect.... But God gave us choice I chose God if your choice is to embrace these sins or condone them in others you do not belong to Him. A study of Romans 1 would do you good. Unless you have already been turned over to a debased mind and left to you sin. It is a said thing when God lets people go their own way.
God did not take be from this world but He separated me from it. I pray He does the same for you

Here
In the darkness
of this fallen world
Where evil fills the air
Where nothing
that is living
Seems have to a care
There is no safety
in your home
you won’t find it in
the streets
you must beware of
all the strangers
strangers that you meet
where will you run
where will you hide
everything
you believed
it was only lies
tatter torn
and broken
you wish you
could just die.
Then you fall
to you knees
You begin to cry
You begin to call
the Lord
You lift His name
on High
Then a light
comes shining
Shinning from
with in
no longer do you
feel tired
You have been
strengthened
This world that
frightened you
And broke you
from within
You look to it
with sadness
Puts you on
your knees again
Jesus there are
so many
There is nothing
I can do
So I pray you
come
Into their hearts
All they need is You

I've read the article a little while ago brother and what I took from it, regardless of the vein that anyone may hold on the subject of Mormonism, Homosexuality, etc. All I took from the article was that the Mormon church was saying (my wording here) "we agree that you believe that you are who you say you are, and have the right to say it, though we continue to believe that it's wrong". I'd be laughing out loud if it weren't so sad.

The Mormon Church, CNN, and by extension LGBT, are really just trying to create a frame work where they stop attacking each other with a "take no prisoners" type of mind set.

As far as those mentioned.............it's seems we will continue with a discussion where some will go back and forth on the sins or innocence of Biblical certainities.

I just pray that we are all able to do this discussion with the Love of Lord always in the front of our mind as we put word to posting. Regardless of the position held.

Thanks brother for sharing.

Ignorance kills. This is a false statement. No one is born gay, a thief, a drug addict, a liar, etc. These are willful sins. They're choices people make. GOD is not mocked.

1 Corinthians 6:9
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men
