2 Tim 3:2; For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
2 Tim 3:3; unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
2 Tim 3:4; treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
2 Tim 3:5; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
There are born liars, born thieves, born child molesters, born fornicators, born adulterers, we are all born into sin, with the tendencies to do certain things.
There are perhaps even born homosexuals. But God has the power to change all those things. I myself am an example of a few of the things listed above.
If God doesn't have the power to change us.. then why even bother being a Christian?
The thing is, I've seen many many people changed. Ex-drug users, ex-alcoholics, ex-wife beaters, ex-fornicators, and yes... even ex-homosexuals.
Now whether you want to change or not, is another matter.
1 Cor 6:9; Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
1 Cor 6:10; nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.
1 Cor 6:11; Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
I particularly like the last verse there... "such WERE some of you". It seems God has the power to change people.
