Hi
I know a little about what they are about.
They believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers.
When a person dies they are married and sent to their own planet and they populate it.
To me its all weird and i know their way is not they way.
Try to look at this time as a faith building moment (we all go through them)
seek God and read his word.
also try and find one of those books that tells you about cults and religions around the world. Your pastor should have one.
Remember the ememy tries to make you feel confused about what you believe when talking to people who believe in something esle

Google this phrase..."how to witness to a Mormon". It will lead you to several sites that contian the beliefs of Mormons. I wouldn't suggest witnessing to them unless you know what you're doing. It's not for every part of the body of Christ do this. Just as it is not for the arms to run or the feet to throw.

1. "Do you really believe that all of us were brothers and sisters up in heaven before we came to this earth?" He should answer "Yes" [by the way, that is Mormon theology - not Christian theology].
2. Then ask: "Do you really believe that you, and I, and Jesus, and the Virgin Mary, and even Lucifer, were actually brothers and sisters?" He should answer "Yes" (see his Mormon book, Gospel Principles, p. 15).
3. Then ask again, "Well could you help me understand something from the Bible?" [He should oblige.]
4. Have him read and explain to you Ephesians 6:12. Get him to see and to admit two points:
a) Paul is not speaking about people ("not against flesh and blood").
b) Paul is speaking about "battle" with spiritual enemies - and at least one of the "principalities" must be Lucifer.
5. If he admits to these points [which most Mormons will], then asked, "could you explain just one other verse to me?"
6. Have him read Colossians 1:16 (speaking of what Christ did before He came into the world).
a) Ask him what does the verse mean? [Just listen.]
b) Ask him to name each item which Christ created.
7. Then ask: "Do you see why I'm confused? You told me that Jesus and Lucifer were once brothers up in heaven. But these two verses clearly teach that Jesus, Whoever He is, created the `principalities' - one of those, you just told me, had to be Lucifer. How could Jesus be Lucifer's brother and his creator at the same time?

These are verses from John 3 in the New Testament.
John 3:11-16
11"Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you do not accept our testimony.
12"If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
13"No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.
14"As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
15so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
16"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Note verse 13 "No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. "
This verse clearly states 2 things, no one has ascended into heaven. Jesus did ascend into heaven after He had been crucified and He rose on the third day. The second thing the verse says is that He, Jesus, the Son of Man, descended from heaven.
Now this is something you have to think about. Why would Jesus say He descended from heaven? Is it not because He is God, He always existed and at the time of the Holy conception by the Holy Spirit as stated in Matthew 1, Jesus descended from heaven?

You have to laugh at the devils lies. You cant let them have you looking at the bible in a different way. Thats how he plants a bad seed in you, and you have cant let it happen. Read the bible god is perfect, he dosent mess up on things. Read the bibel if you have questions on thing or there is always talkjesus

Well my Father must have led me to this topic for a reason today, as this question has been on my mind for some time and I'm still confused. Studying the Bible is important, I know, but it just gets so confusing at times. So can someone please explain these two versus to me, if Jesus is God.
Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (KJV)
Joh 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. (KJV)
I am not a Mormon, btw. I am just confused.

You have to remember Cody that the evil one will try many ways to confuse us.
If you listen to the mormons or any other who profess thier religion to you, some of it may seem like the words of Jesus.
They may be the words of Jesus, Its the words of Jesus that entice people in.
Yet it is webbed with deciet and lies throughout the rest of thier religion.
Jesus said that many would come and profess they were Christ, like wolves in sheeps clothing. The mormons cannot show you the way. The Jesus they speak of is not the Jesus who grants the Holy Spirit.

Christ is the sinner's Way to the Father and to heaven, in his person as God manifest in the flesh, in his atoning sacrifice, and as our Advocate.
He is the Truth, as fulfilling all the prophecies of a Saviour; believing which, sinners come by him the Way. He is the Life, by whose life-giving Spirit the dead in sin are quickened. Nor can any man draw nigh God as a Father, who is not quickened by Him as the Life, and taught by Him as the Truth, to come by Him as the Way. By Christ, as the Way, our prayers go to God, and his blessings come to us; this is the Way that leads to rest, the good old Way. He is the Resurrection and the Life. All that saw Christ by faith, saw the Father in Him.
In the light of Christ's doctrine, they saw God as the Father of lights; and in Christ's miracles, they saw God as the God of power. The holiness of God shone in the spotless purity of Christ's life. We are to believe the revelation of God to man in Christ; for the works of the Redeemer show forth his own glory, and God in him. (Jn 14:12-17)

Cody, what an amazing young bloke you are, I had a look at your profile and just thought, "this young man is going places in God", I am reminded of the some of the great men of God, who really brought power to the Word of God, The Wesleys and Wigglesworth, and of course , David Wilkinson and Nicky Cruz. Men who really had a calling on their lives to speak Gods truth. (there are many more of course, this is just an example.), Those men immediately come to mind when I read your story and your testimony. God has something specific for you and a plan for your life.
And then I read the first thread of your message, bout the mormons and honestly had to smile, of course satan is gonna try and trip you up, and the mormons are excellent at twisting stuff, especially to a young bloke who perhaps is training for the call of God on his life.
Dude, the bottom line is this, they preach another Gospel. The second thing is, and this is its foundations, Joshep Smith- the mormon founder got all his "revelations" that are contained in the book of mormon, because apparently an "angel' appeared to him personally and showed him a different gospel all wriiten down on golden tablets, which he then "lost" and have never been found since. It was because he lost them, that was the reason he had to get "sacred revelation from his magic stones", that were cast inside his hat, which he then interpreted to his wife who then wrote down all the "sacred writings". Well, what do you think the Lord would think of that? Mmmmmmmmm, i suspect you already know.
He told us expressly many times not to touch sorcery and the like, cause its dangerous. See what happens, one man because he went directly against the Lord and practiced fortune telling and look at the result, millions of mormons are in big trouble.
Its really, really sad, if they truly wanted to know the truth, the Lord would show them, but they choose to believe a lie.
As for you, its quite obvious, Satan sees you as a threat to his kingdom, so he is trying to seduce you away to false relegions. And let me tell you, apart from the Gospel and the Bible, they are all false. Why do you think that christianity is the only religion "not tolerated", cause its the only true one.
As in anything and just like you have before, ask the Lord to show you the truth, Himself. He will.
Nothing will ever compare to walking in Gods will for your life. And the enemy will always carry on about it, in all sorts of ways, (false religions are a favourite of his), But you continue in your walk, stay encouraged, and ask The Lord if He is perhaps teaching you anything in the midst of all this, I bet He is.

An offshoot of Freemasonary

Mormonism is an offshoot of the Freemasons.
Their structure and aim is the same.
Mormons are not allowed to become Freemasons.... and that is a Freemason rule, because then they would see the similarities and realise what is going on.
Thankfully, the Lord loves them all.... THOUGH HE DOESN"T LOVE THEIR TEACHING/RELIGION.
If you want to witness to anyone, Mormon or not, do it Jesus style....
Love and show nothing but love to all men. Pray always that Jesus is evident in your life. Tell them what Jesus has done for you.... and will do for them.
Remember too, if you invite a Mormon into your home, he is a guest. Treat him (both of them) as a guest, but remember that they are in YOUR house, and it is YOUR place for them to receive from YOU.
Same goes for any peson or people who you have in your house.
The Mormon religion has two distinct levels. The poor blokes who come to your door are attempting to earn points in doing what they are told to do, much like the Jehovah Witnesses do (sorry Lord for using your name to label such a deceiving lot).
The two men (usually young men) think they are doing good, offering something they understand to be useful to you. What they don't know, and here it becomes obvious the connection with the Freemasons, is that they are on their way to an initiation level, where they enter into satanic ritual and very dark superstition, from there they will find leaving the cult difficult.
Both Mormon and Freemason are kept in the dark. They must progress through a series of levels and at each level, they must come under secretive oath.
Both carry an oath and threat of death penalty for betraying the secrets.
Common in their temples are pentagrams and the Freemason symbols.
Masons are doing their best to gain political power especially in Utah. They are heavily involved in business and commerce. The tithing of their 'innocent' victims, who know no better, help fund their ventures, as well as fatten their leaders, who keep them in the dark with false teachings and use fear to control them.
They appear to do good and to be less than harmless.
They, the people are mere people, in need of a Saviour. The religion and teaching is EVIL.
Witness to them in the Power of God that He has given you in Jesus Christ the Lord.
It is up to Jesus to do the rest.... the increase belongs to Him.
Remember many false Christs will come and many deceivers and false Jesus's. There is one way to the Father and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ who died by crucifixion for us and rose again and is coming again to judge the world. Beware of false prophets.

Thank you Br. Bear. So many months have passed since I posted in this thread. I thank you for your kindness and words of encouragement over those months.
Helping and guiding people into the truth is not easy. One sect says the others are heretic and false teachers/cults and the other say they are heretic and false teacher/cults.
There is only one way to the Father and that's through Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour. All those years ago, God worked through Jesus, God anointed him with holy spirit and was with Jesus when he was walking on the earth. Jesus is alive now and forever to never die again. God raised him, through His own mighty power.
Phi 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Jesus rose up in his new incorruptible body and is alive and sits on the right hand of God. He is the Firstborn, to be raised alive to never die again
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
God and Jesus Christ is with us today.

Helping us, guiding us, as we study the Word. Bringing it to our minds, so that we can minister, comfort each other and bring the good news of the Gospel of Christ to others. God's Word has become flesh again through us, this very day, through born again believers.
To learn the basic principals of the Bible, one needs to go straight back to the beginning in Genesis, " The Fall of Man". When one understands the very basics of Body, Soul & Spirit, the Bible starts to make sense, with no contradictions, and with no heretic hearsays'. God knew me, God knows you, God knew us. God had knowledge of us, before we came into existence. We were marked out by Him to be made like His Son.

Helping and guiding people into the truth is not easy. One sect says the others are heretic and false teachers/cults and the other say they are heretic and false teacher/cults.
There is only one way to the Father and that's through Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour. All those years ago, God worked through Jesus, God anointed him with holy spirit and was with Jesus when he was walking on the earth. Jesus is alive now and forever to never die again. God raised him, through His own mighty power.
Phi 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Jesus rose up in his new incorruptible body and is alive and sits on the right hand of God. He is the Firstborn, to be raised alive to never die again
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
God and Jesus Christ is with us today.

To learn the basic principals of the Bible, one needs to go straight back to the beginning in Genesis, " The Fall of Man". When one understands the very basics of Body, Soul & Spirit, the Bible starts to make sense, with no contradictions, and with no heretic hearsays'. AMEN! I agree with you Bonnie (and Rizen who wrote after wards). Lord Jesus please bless this young man as you move in and through his life. Amen. Keep seeking Jesus and holding tight to Him.
