I suggest everyone rent this movie. It's called August Rush, here's more info:
August Rush (2007)

It's about a boy who gets separated at birth from his mother, both his parents are musicians, his father an alternative rock artist and his mother a classical cello player.

It's one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time, it broke my heart watching it and I feel like crying up to now. It's a wonderful wonderful film that will leave you with appreciation for life and what God has given us, including the gift of music.

God bless

My wife saw this and recommends it to me highly. I haven't seen it yet though.

I'd really like to see this. It definitely sounds like August Rush is compelling, real, and moving....and that's what I enjoy Will have to rent it soon!

Things I didn't mention, which might be frowned upon by some. August (the boy) is born out of wedlock, after his mother had a fling with his father. That's about the nastiest bit in the film from a Christian viewpoint.

It reminds me a lot of films like Oliver's Twist and those types of films.

God bless

Yes, that is a fact but I think it only adds to the beauty of the message in the film as a whole. They go through a heart wrenching, tragic few years because of this.."FLING" and in the end love wins out over all the sin...and a family unites....as it should. True Love and Unity always wins in the end. Seperation doesn't stand a chance. :) Mr. Wizard looses...LOL...let me hush..before I will give it all away.

The movie proves that God's mercy exceeds his anger and hatred to sin, He knew it was a sin, this *Fling* but He still united them because their hearts were crushed and they had no hope but to hope in God.

A pretty good movie, the little boy is very talented.
