1| What is your favorite movie?

The one i really love is Passion of the Christ although i have watched this movie like a hundred times i have to skip some parts i get too upset, i find it to hard to watch our Saviour going through that.

2| Based upon the Bible, what is allowable in a movie?
All of it

3| Is partial nudity ok?
Depends on what you mean, i think arms and legs exposed like shorts and tank tops for example, are fine but im not a big fan on really exposing clothing,it doesent show you having repect for yourself if you walk around half naked ,your body is best kept for your husband well in my opinion.

4| Is anything that God dislikes ok for us to watch?
Most of what is on tv these days is wrong, but no its not ok if you know it is wrong and will offend your King.

5| Is it ok for us to laugh at things God calls sin?
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

| What is your favorite movie? Don't have one.

2| Based upon the Bible, what is allowable in a movie? Phil:4-8 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." I would say that if a movie falls out of this standard which is supposed to be our standard of thought...we shouldn't watch it.

3| Is partial nudity ok? No. Partial nudity was never accepted in the traditional church. (Matthew 5:28 / 2 Timothy 2:22)

4| Is anything that God dislikes ok for us to watch? No. The problem here is the word "dislikes". God doesn't dislike sin, God HATES sin. It is vile, wretched, and filthy to Him. If we call ourselves His disciples, and followers of Him, it makes no sense at all that we would deliberately watch something that He would HATE.

5| Is it ok for us to laugh at things God calls sin? see above.

1) The Notebook, it's a romantic movie, not religious or anything though.

2) There are many things that the bible didn't tell us what to do about, but again, we can use our common sense to define our limits according to God.

3) Not when you are watching it on purpose and enjoying it, you can always change the channel if something like that was on, no need watching it.

4) Offcourse yes, making fun of God, nudity and cursing and things like that, maybe it's not a SIN but as children of God, there are things that we know we aren't supposed to do/watch.

5) I think God focuses on our hearts and intentions more, but again, it is useless to do that, if you joke with an African about slavery, it won't be so funny to him, you know?
there are useless jokes.

Psalms 1-41
1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

Fave movie: The sound of music (sadly).

I find that if i keep focused on Jesus then if i'm watching something that grieves The lord then i feel convicted and really uncomfortable and can't keep watching.

partial nudity isnot ok keep your body for your spouse only.

Its not ok to laugh at sin. Christ died for that sin.
When deciding what is ok to watch and what isnt ok be careful you dont slide in to legalism.

Perfect answer! But all your answers are good guys, keep 'em coming! I will get to the main reason why I asked all this.

1| What is your favorite movie?
The Jesus Film, The Passion

2| Based upon the Bible, what is allowable in a movie?
I'd think, based on the Bible, everything except sin would be allowable in a movie.

3| Is partial nudity ok?
I would say no, that's sexual sin and it's wrong.

4| Is anything that God dislikes ok for us to watch?
I would say no. Jesus said, "If you love Me, you'll obey My commands."

5| Is it ok for us to laugh at things God calls sin?
Again, I would say no. I can feel pity and pray for sinful things/people, but laughing at it like it's unimportant seems to me to be wrong.

1| What is your favorite movie?
I like the matrix movie 1st 1
Gladeater but some parts are not for me.
and I like lord of the ring trilagy and Narnia

2| Based upon the Bible, what is allowable in a movie?

3| Is partial nudity ok? I say no not for me at all

4| Is anything that God dislikes ok for us to watch?
little more detail is needed on this 1
pasion of the Christ brutal was it ok
Gladeater brutal heroic.
porn no good
I will go with conviction will tell you.

5| Is it ok for us to laugh at things God calls sin?
laugh at somthing displeasing to GOD.
in an aproving way no.
seeing a stupid robber get cought on tape not sure.

Is watching a movie sin?
Or because you think it is a sin dose it become sin in you?

My favorite movie is "To Kill A Mockingbird".

Based on the bible, what is allowable in a movie should be truth, knowledge, insight into how to be kind to others, bring hope or encouragement, and learning how to give solace to those who experience sorrow. There is hope for tomorrow through Jesus Christ!

Partial nuditiy is not ever permissible; the Bible is crystal clear on that. This leaves out a lot of movies. We don't need those movies and should keep them out of our house.

As someone else said, God hates sin.

H-mmm, laughing...well, could we laugh at someone getting recompense for sin? Would we be laughing at ourselves? Have to think about that one. On the other hand, most people in movies who sin, don't seem to ever fall into consequences for it. That's one of the things I dislike about movies. How do you explain to children that there are consequences for poor choices/actions, when that movie star does whatever he wants and everyone cheers and laughs?
