multiculturel fellowship

Hello
Will you please join me in prayer. We are having a multiculturell service in our church 21 of january. It will be in english. I pray that a lot of foregn students will come to the meeting. I also pray that some refuges will find their way when they are invited. We will try to get someoen to go to the refugescenter to pick people up. I know that muslims often become interrested in christianity and that some in fact have called out to Jesus for help. It is difficult to find a including fellowship, and our church would like to be one. We see some foreign people visiting, but they don`t come back.
Everyone need a fellowship where they can both give and receive.

Is there a ministry at your church that is specifically charged with reaching out to people of other cultures by meeting physical needs such a food, clothing, housing?

People in your church might pray about that. It may be that the Holy Spirit wants to use your church to do more than hold a multi-cultural service. If society in your country is like society in the USA and other countries, people from cultures other than yours probably have been marginalized in every way and have serious needs in terms of survival.

Norway have got a very good social system. Hardly no one is starving. But it is difficult to be acceptet as an equel part of the society. It is difficult to find a work. Even people with education from their homeland find it difficult. we have doctors who work in supermarked, washing floors etc. I'm a socialworker and we have a chance to helt peopl with economic need. we can pay kindergarden for the children, and we can help the familiy to find solutions to their own problems. They have the best knowledge about their situation and what kind of help is best. Norway is much different from US in the social system. You don`t need an incuranse to go to hospital, dentist is free for children, after a sertain amount, docter care is free for one of the parent and all childern under the age of 18. But we still need a lot of help from people who care. Because if we dont make a better including of our new inhabitants, we will soon have a new underclass in many ways.

But please pray, not only for the service, but that our new friends will be fully includet in our church, and participate in an equel way in all kind of thins who are happening in our church.
