Music Moves the Soul

Music has always moved me. It can bring me to my knees in prayer or standing with arms outstretched to the sky in praise. It can convict and heal.

In February of this year, my great nephew of 7 months passed away of SIDS. It has been heart wrenching to his parents and extended family. It still brings tears to my eyes when I think of the sorrow my niece and her husband are going through. This song reminds each of us that not matter the loss we sometimes need to tell our heart to beat again. It is a song that brings healing and comfort to my soul.

That's very true about music. That's why I play French horn and also studied conducting. I especially enjoy classical spiritual music, such as Mahler's Eighth Symphony, the "Symphony of a Thousand," also his second, ""The Resurrection." Anyone else here enjoy classical music?
