My 2nd introduction

It's been quite a while since I've participated here so I would like to reintroduce myself.

My name is Mindy
Michigan is were I live
I'm 47
Single (never married)
Have 1 daughter (24 yrs old)
Born Again roughly 18 years now
I have a burning passion to get as close to Jesus as I possibly can.

Me in a nut shell:

I don't have a physical person in my life to call friend.
I have a few "internet friends" that I chat with now & again but none are Christians.
I'm alone 28 days out of 30 with the exception of my 2 little dogs.
Both my mom & dad passed away 3 months apart in 2016 from cancer

I'm only in search of the raw TRUTH, not opinions, ideas or passed down generational beliefs.

What I believe in is simple.
There is only 1 God & only he created everything. I believe in the Trinity.
I believe the laws God made back then are the same today & will be forever.

(I can't think of anything more to add right now)

It seems to me, that there is a movement of God in this era, of separating His true children from the desires of this world and the world and into a true Desire. For HIM and only Him. And desire for others to have this desired too. a type of “sanctification”, in which is the will of God.
A Life Pleasing to God

1Finally, then, brothers,a we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more. 2For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.3For this is the will of God, your sanctification:b that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4that each one of you know how to control his own bodyc in holiness and honor,5not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; (1 Thessalonians 4:1-9). You are not alone.

i am new to this site but I came across your 2nd introduction and I thought i would reach out to you. I have been a Christian for ab 15 years now and the Lord has done shown me many truths What caught me most with what you shared is that your looking only for trut, not thoughts and opinions of people!
That is the exact same thing I asked the Lord in the very beginning of my walk! I had no desire to follow man or people’s thoughts or opinions only the truth of Gods word and that is exactly what’s He has shown me through the years.
I asked Himto show me in His wordabou that and He brought me to the scripture 1 john 2:27 where He talks about not needing any one to teach you but His annointing (Holy Spirit) teaches you all thing. Really encouraging
