Well,I was never really a Christian when I was a kid.My parent(s) were hindu, and I never understood what my brother was.I went to a Christian primary school(even though my principal was Muslim...This I don't get),and finally graduated and went to a Presbyterian High School. So in many ways,I was educated into Christ, but nothing more than that.I was no more of a Christian than someone who didn't believe in anything..At all...

When I was 10,I got into a really bad social situation with some kids from my school. And I started writing..Really writing...I remember going up to my room, and writing letters to God asking Him to take my life away..And crying myself to sleep every night...I wasn't happy.I wasn't religious either. This lasted for a while, and I started to get into habits that people generally don't do..I mean it was so harsh..

Well anyway, when I got into high school,I realized that I needed something more to keep me going.I was in and out of depression, and my morality, self esteem and confidence were abandoned in a gutter somewhere.Around that time,my dad was diagnosed with a terminal illness;leukemia. We knew then,he may not make it...Over the next two years,I sort of grew close to Christ and God...I'm not even sure how,but it was like I was supposed to be close to Him then, because my father was sick..

When I was in Form 3 (grade 7 I guess), our Christian club started this Breakfast Club. It was really cool. My friends went, so I went too.. I never really opened up to them, but during prayer, I would get closer to God. This is how I became saved. When I was in Form 4 (grade 8), my dad died. I can honestly tell you that God came into my life at THE right time, cuz I would've hurt so much, had I not known Him, that I'd probably commit suicide. But He placed these great friends around me, that had my back. I mean seriously, everytime something happened, a group of christian kids in my school always stood behind me.

I don't have a church body, the christian group in my school is pretty much it. But I met friends there who are closer to me than anyone else. I've become a much softer person, a person who feels... And I've found that people look up to me now.

Thanks for sharing. Its always good to sourround ourselfs with faithful, loyal, and honest people who can get us through the tough times. I am fortunite enough just like you to have these kind of friends.

One thing I most love is to hear people testify what God has been doing in their life, Glory be to him, God is always good!

Dear Diamarie I noticed you wrote your location is between heaven and hell, well I tell you Jesus is the way to heaven, you can ask him to come in to your heart and he will give you eternal life which is in heaven.(God has created you to be in heaven with him not in hell)

You will get resources in "Get saved now" room which will help you to understand how to accept Jesus.

With lots of Love and Blessings
