Sadly brothers & sisters in Christ the times they are a changing in this world, and it's not for the better as shown by this article which can be read in full by accessing the link at the end. You might have to cut and paste, but it should get you there. Were this isolated, but one can find such occurrences daily all over the world.

Even those Shepards who are supposed to be protecting their flocks are instead leading them to the slaughter. Below is a quote from an article that is just a reflection of what Christianity is facing not from the outside, but within their own ranks.

"The Very Rev. Gary Hall, the cathedral's dean, said performing same-sex marriages is an opportunity to break down barriers and build a more inclusive community "that reflects the diversity of God's world."

In reading the word of God the only diversity in His Word is those who call Christ Jesus Lord, Savior and those who do not. Were it only this, but He must address those who do adhere to scripture, and not only read it.

The statement continues on as follows: "I read the Bible as seriously as fundamentalists do," Hall told the AP. "And my reading of the Bible leads me to want to do this because I think it's being faithful to the kind of community that Jesus would have us be."

Seems he has forgotten that it's not just about reading the Bible, but applying what you read regardless of what you might believe. It's also not about what "I think" as he states, but about what God has communicated to us in His Word.

Lord how much longer? So many being led astray, in the sad belief that this is what you want. Truly the times are changing when "evil" is being made to look like it's "good" and "good" to be "evil". Have mercy, mercy my Lord!

My Prayer:
Gracious Lord, instill your moral principles in my heart and the heart of others. That all may see these qualities through us, and may know Your wonderful character. Make us fruitful and useful for Your kingdom Lord! In Your Holy name I pray Jesus. Amen.

Hosea 2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to [them which were] not my people, Thou [art] my people; and they shall say, [Thou art] my God.

that is horrible in my opinion, how can you stand in front of God and preform a GAY marriage. not only is it grose but its a sin. god says marriage is between a man and a woman, nothing else. if any pastor is doing this they should be called out on it too bad many people have sunk so low that they think a pastor could do gay marriage.

Unfortunately, homosexuality is spreading through my generation and younger generations like wildfire. I myself, am against homosexuality, and my heart is burdened by the youth that are engaging in said acts, causing themselves to be prone to medical issues and other devastating effects. I was at one time on a online forum meant to be friendly toward younger audiences but was open to all age groups, (I won't say the name of the forum or particular subject, except that is was not a christian forum) and this forum banned sensitive, adult topics, and religion, however they only got real tough with the pro-LGBT posts and references about a year and a half after getting real tough on the pro-christian and other pro-religion post and refrences.

God is the one that determines who is a Shepherd and who isn't.

And all I can say is the pastors in the pulpits are not Shepherds, they are teachers at best, and just regular men deceived by the devil into taking a far greater responsibility upon their heads than they can even comprehend. In fact, you cannot comprehend the responsibility placed upon a pastor unless you have a spiritual gift of at least understanding.

And I know of No One, who has received a gift of Wisdom and or Understanding after asking for it, and then been anointed with the responsibilities of being a Shepherd* and shared his testimony.
All I can go by is I have a gift of understanding and a few others but was born with them, and God indirectly called me a wise man the other day and that freaked me out a bit.

when you drive by your neighbours house and the Holy Spirit literally cries "Save him" and you just about break down and weep over the unsaved... you tend to get a bit sensitive.

*apostle might be a better term.

and yes, most of the people that go to church on sunday aren't even saved.

I suspect a hidden reason that some denominational churches are caving in to the gay agenda: membership and money. They've lost many folks who aren't coming back and they see the gays as a resource for building up their attendance and refilling their coffers.

I agree. One problem our church ran into is the paster can be repremanded for NOT performing a same sex marriage. Now that is super wrong. That is, the upper leadership in the church really shoving a clearly very decisive issue directly down the throat of not only the paster, but also the congregation as a whole. It's a problem we have been dealing with again and again up here in Canada. Bottom line, IMO, homosexuality is a sin. And it's acceptance within our Body of Christ should only be forced to the point of perfectly loving the sinner, but not an agreement to partake in the sin (blessing a homosexual marriage). Bless the sinner, but not the sin.

Van Robison best describes this as Wal-Mart Christianity when pastors preach for money. I often wonder how preachers have gone so far from the teachings of Jesus Christ, that they feel no remorse in using the name of Jesus Christ for all their "corporations" as I feel correctly describes many churches.

Yea, hell will have diversity of people as well.

Very well said.

Might I add, the shepherds (so called) of the National Cathederal, cannot add a single body too, or take a single body away, from the Church that Christ - the true Shepherd, is building.
amen.

i think it interesting that they use the Rainbow as a national symbol,Gods promise that the world will never be destroyed by water for sins sake .Guess they forgot about the stipulation of not by water ..judgement will still come for sins sake .!!!!!......Rev

I looked into the rainbow as used by them. The symbol I guess originally had two other colors, which probably speak more of it's true nature. The removed colors stood for sex (pink) and art/magic (turquoise).

I'd have to insert a verse from Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Sadly Rev instead of look for eternal joy they look for carnal pleasures, fleeting though they be. In so doing will justify anything for them, which is the case for any addiction.
