National Geographic is curently showing a series this entire week called "Secret Bible", it showed here in South Africa at 21:00. Check your local listings. I'm posting this to let you know that the war is raging, the mockers and blasphemers have arrived. I watched last nights episode entitled "Apocalypse", it was total and utter lunacy. It made no sense from a Biblical point of view. They twist it and shape it to suit their needs. I could be wrong with my opinion, maybe you experienced it differently when you watched it. Not sure what tonights episode is about, I think it's about Jesus' life, the Judas scrolls and so forth.

Watch it and give your opinion,

They are showing it in England too tonight at 8pm the apocalypse!i shall watch it and see what its about.

i don't think there's anyting wrong with your opinion, Teraside... I've seen a lot of so called documantaries, based on the Bible and i totally agree with you. The devil is really turning himself into an angel of light, and he is deceiving many. Just think about what people who haven't heard of Christ will think about God after seeing these programs...
I think we should pray for this...

I have truly given up watching anything that claims to be about Christianity that is on certain programing channels.. They are full of lies..

Me too. I only watch what I fully trust, those that are in agreement with the only TRUE Living Word of GOD and nothing else, nothing short of truth 100%.

i watched it halfway and lost interest. What's next? theyre currently embarking on the genographic project to try to trace men's ancestry. You betcha theyll somehow try to hook up the evidence to monkey's genes.
makes me mad when i think of it that these theories are being brainwashed into children all over the world.

I just can't get over this gospel of Judas thing, really, that's what showed last night. It says that Jesus was sent by a God(this is what the gnostics believe) that is beyond comprehension, that Jesus created the world, but isn't worthy of the "place" where this God lives. Seriously, who would believe that? He died for our sins, He became sin for us. Would He not be worthy of everything and all? The Bible says there is one God. Only ONE! There is no other God. The Bible has all the answers to fight against the false teachings of any so called gospel and religion. There is but ONE God. The God of Israel, my God. Anyone please give me a scripture that can support what I am saying. I know it's somewhere in the Bible when God tells the people they should stop their idol worship and so forth.

I also agree with Chad and Jesuslovesu. I don't like watching these things, but I have to watch it to tell people the truth about it.

Let's take this scenario. A person watches the gospel of Judas and he or she believes that Jesus said to Judas "betray me". I could then go the New Testament and tell them there is no reason for that. Jesus said the Kingdom of God is inside of us and He did not have to say it in "secret" to Judas, He already said it to all of His disciples. In other words, there is no reason to ask Judas to betray Him. Jesus said no one comes to the Father but through Him. That means, Judas couldn't inherit the Kingdom of God, unless He believed in Jesus. Not through betrayel or self sacrifice. Jesus knew every single fact and detail, He knows all today. He will know all forever. He made it.

I love you Jesus. I'm sorry about this world and what it does to You. I was part of it, but You took me away.

LOL...that would be nothing new...satan never could stand the fact that we were made in the image of GOD

Rom 3:3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;

Yes, yes. They are SO smart. So smart, in fact, that they are going to bend over backwards to prove that they are related to a monkey. After that, they should prove how they are nothing more than a highly complex piece of slime.:icon_rolleyes: (how come you only have rolleyes for christmas?) I'm serious. It is so sad to see what people will do to themselves, just so that they will be free from moral constraints.

hello everyone!!!

Have you ever wondered how people are ready to read, watch or talk anythingn that is against the truth that we know as children of God?and how they justify everything and are ready to follow false doctrines but they are not ready to read the Bible and find out the truth for themselves??????

Christ is the Answer

I value your opinion hadirfuss, but watching or reading false-truth can help you in a social situation, together with the knowledge of God and the Bible. If Chrisitians didn't give acknowledgement to the "world" there would be no new Christians, everyone would believe what they want and not believe in Jesus Christ.

The point is talking about something on tv that is against God's word helps me learn more about God's word. I learned alot about the real betrayel of Judas in the gospel of Judas thread (just do a forum search for it). If no one talked about it, because it wasn't godly, then I wouldn't have had the truth. The truth is it was prophecised and that Judas did betray Christ, this thread only adds to that,

The National Geographic series was about the end times as told in revelation and the gospel of Judas, it was blown out of preportion and it wasn't Biblically correct. That was what I wanted this thread to achieve, to teach me more about the truth of the Bible and the truth according to Christ. Revelation is an extremely hard book to interpret and I need the opinion of other people to shed light upon the darkness.

1. The theory of evolution does not say humans are descended from monkeys. Just that monkeys and humans share a common ancestor.

2. There are lots of non-cannonical Gospels, some, like say Thomas, are very helpful for studying the cannonical ones.

3. The theories supported by the Gospel of Judas have been floating around the place for an age. The BBC showed a series of Easter programmes about them in 2001, for example.

4. Judas was kinda important to the story. If Jesus wasn't crucified, he couldn't be resurrected etc. If God planned everything, then surely he planned that too, no?

No, it was prophecised, please do a forum search for "gospel of judas" and look at what that thread says. God didn't plan anything, God is supreme, the devil plans stuff, God doesn't have time to make plans, He made time, no?

Some christians evidently have the calling to watch these programs so they can witness more effectively in social groups. I respect that. I do not have that calling myself. I have heard enough lies, myself. I'd rather turn to the truth: Jesus Christ and His Word. But that's just me. I respect others who can use this "Judas" forum of these past months to witness the gospel.

I get confused enough, lol, without adding these strange "facts" about Jesus and Judas that people claim to have found. I also don't want my teenaged daughter exposed to these programs unnecessarily. The t.v. can be turned off or the channel changed.

Jesus disagrees, he says in the gospels that only the father knows what the father has planned, not even Jesus knew the details. "God so loved that world that he gave his only begotten son so that who so believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life" John. If that's not a plan, what is?
