need help , please

hi guys
I need your help on somethink
after I've told the lord I've done wrong , I feel like I should do punish myself for the wrong I done , cos I feel like I let him down when I do wrong. is this the devil trying to tell me to punish myself ????
if you can help out with this that would be grate.

thanks for that , it just that I really want to be right with jesus , and as I said I don't want to hurt me (but I know that when we sin it's hurts him)

A simple truth that many Christians find difficult to live in, is the fact that, if you are "Born Again", which means saved, then your forgiveness is complete.

When you sin and sin you will, It should not be a matter of telling the Lord and asking for forgiveness. For one thing He saw your sin before you did and asking Him for forgiveness is like telling Him what He did on the cross was not sufficient....He only died one time for all and all sin!
Rather, when you realize that you have just sinned, thank Him for what He has already done on the cross and live in the peace and comfort the He now calls you blameless.

Though He lives in us, we are not perfect yet; the Holy Spirit will always remind us when we mess up. Don't beat your self up or feel ashamed for sining, just thank Him for reminding you of your sinful nature and work on them!

In Christ you are dead to your sins but you are not dead to sining!
In Christ you do not get forgiveness, In Christ you are forgiven!

sounds to me like something i go thru sometimes. we, sometimes have to forgive ourselves. and we cant "beat up" on ourselves because we are not our own and we are "beating up on" anothers servant. even more if he dosent do it neither should we. its a process and we have to train ourselves to do it. thank God for His patientce.
