So I've got a few questions or rather statements to ask and state :)

1. Does God say in the Bible how angels were created?
I believe every single angel is a star, literally. I believe all the stars in the universe are angels. Is there something wrong with this belief? If there is, I'd change for sure. :star:

2. Does God give a person dreams?
I believe every single dream a person has or had comes from God. I believe all nightmares come from Satan. Every dream that has no point to it, except destruction, comes from Satan.

3. Does God make my days longer and shorter? (physically)
I believe God makes my days longer and shorter, I believe that is what He meant when he said respect your parents and He will make your days longer (I'm sorry if respect isn't what the Bible says, I'm translating, he he).

4. Does God have a body?
I believe all three persons called God have their own bodies, the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I believe God is spirit, but angels are spirit too. :boy_hug:

5. Where in the Bible does it say a person has a free will?
I don't believe a person has a free will, I believe we can muse (think) and react, I believe we can choose, but I don't believe we have a free will in the greater sense of the words.

6. Does the Holy Spirit give us thoughts?
I believe the Holy Spirit gives us thoughts and ideas, every single day, He is the reason I raised myself :) Actually God raised me. My parents did some of it, but they couldn't teach me like God could.

There's quite alot of questions I have, but these are the most important to me at present. I'll update this thread if I have more questions and statements. Thanks guys. Love you. Btw. Hi everyone, I didn't introduce myself yesterday when I signed up.

Note: most of these are taken from gotquestions.org as they
are already nicely laid out, explained in full detail using Scripture.

1. Does God say in the Bible how angels were created?

Angels are personal spiritual beings, having aspects of intelligence, emotions, and will. This is true of both the good and evil angels. Angels possess intelligence (Matthew 8:29; 2 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Peter 1:12), show emotions (Luke 2:13; James 2:19; Revelation 12:17), and demonstrate that they have wills (Luke 8:28-31: 2 Timothy 2:26; Jude 6). Angels are spirit beings (Hebrews 1:14), with no true physical body. The fact that they do not have bodies does not affect their being personalities (any more than it does with God).

2. Does God give a person dreams?

Can God give visions to people today? Yes! Does God give visions to people today? Very likely yes! Should we expect visions to be an ordinary occurrence? As recorded in the Bible, God has spoken to people many times by means of visions. Examples would be Joseph (son of Jacob/Israel), Joseph the husband of Mary, Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Peter, Paul, and many others. The Prophet Joel predicted an outpouring of visions, and this was confirmed by the Apostle Peter in Acts chapter 2. Note - the difference between a vision and a dream is that a vision is given when a person is "awake" while a dream is given when a person is "asleep."In many parts of the world, God seems to be using visions and dreams extensively.

In areas where there is little to no Gospel message available, God is taking His message to people directly. This is entirely consistent with the Biblical example of visions being frequently used by God to reveal His truth to people in the early days of Christianity (see the Book of Acts). If God desires to communicate His message to a person, He can use whatever means He finds necessary - a missionary, an angel, a vision, a dream, etc. God also, of course, has the ability to give visions in areas where the Gospel message is already readily available. We are in no way limiting what God can do.

3. Does God make my days longer and shorter? (physically)

As far as I remember, this was the OT law about giving your parents honor, being obedient to them. I believe GOD is referring to a happy long life rather than a short life of agony and misery, along with other emotions / hurt that GOD does not desire for us between the children and his parents.

Proverbs 10:27
The fear of the LORD prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.

Fear of the Lord brings health to the body and spirit. You can rejoice and do so with wisdom (fear of the Lord). You can pray your stress, anxiety away. You are (fearing the Lord) one who is disciplined and obedient, you love knowledge. You obey GOD's Word.

4. Does God have a body?

God is a spirit (John 4:24), and so His appearance is not like anything we can describe. Exodus 33:20 tells us, “But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” We, as sinful human beings, are incapable of even seeing God in all His glory and living. His appearance is utterly unimaginable.

The Bible describes God appearing to people on various occasions. These should not be understood as describing exactly what God looks like, but rather as God revealing Himself to us in a way that we can understand. Two passages that powerfully describe God’s appearance are Ezekiel 1:26-28 and Revelation 1:14-16.

Ezekiel 1:26-28, “Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.” Revelation 1:14-16, “His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.”

5. Where in the Bible does it say a person has a free will?

100% free will, literally. Read this article (too long to post)

6. Does the Holy Spirit give us thoughts?

God does speak to people today. First, God speaks to us through His Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Isaiah 55:11 tells us, “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” The Bible records God’s words to us in everything we need to know in order to be saved and live the Christian life. 2 Peter 1:3-4 declares, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”

Thanks so much for the response Chad. It's exactly what I needed. I believe totally without a doubt that the Bible is God's words to man. I don't have all the knowledge that others have, but I'm keen to learn, as you can see from my posts and so forth.

I have a "weird" (other than normal practice) view of creation and God's works. It has to coincide with the Bible, or I won't believe it. I'm still in my shell state on this forum(keeping stuff inside). So posing questions is my way of mellowing. I absolutely loved every word and reference in your reply.

I will make a point of reading all the relevant scriptures. I believe every single factor in my life has the hand of God behind it. I don't believe in destiny and I think my mind and ways of expressing what is inside it, is conflicting entirely every day.

I really, really enjoyed this last part:

Therefore, I prefer to reconcile the thought that a sovereign God in His complexity allowed me to choose to accept Him, rather than to attempt to resolve a seeming character conflict between His justice and holiness.

That's exactly how I always viewed God, I think the details are what's messing me about. I'd love to have more info, I pray daily and ask for new "revelations" the Bible could offer me. I love the word of God.

I will still believe my above statements that Angels are stars etc. It's my way of seeing the romantic in our Lords. The Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit. I see God in a plural and singular form. I see God as being one. I see God like this. Each person called God has their own individual personalities etc. But they stand as one, just ike the 3 musketeers. All for one and one for all. That's how I understand the Holy Trinity. Thanks again Chad. I've got so much more to say regarding this thread, but my fingers are hurting...

Glad you enjoyed the response. Gotquestions.org is an awesome site as is biblegateway.com also

Just want to point out (in sincere love) that your view on angels being stars (literally) is 100% false. You want to refrain from that. There is no mention at all in Scripture about this, therefore it is dangerous to believe such things. Stars are physical created objects like everything else in the galaxy, nothing more than that. Anything past that is dangerous to believe.

Pray on it sister.

Read this about GOD creating the things in the galaxy. Interesting article.
