Realize that the world looks as Christianity and expects Christians to be perfect. So if they know you are Christian they will watch you for any moment that you stumble. And we all do. Then they pounce and accuse you of not living up to their standard of what a Christian should be.

Remember that we are forgiven ... not perfect.

When people say someone is not 'real' it might mean that you're not relating to them very well, they might get the impression that you think you're better than them or that in some way that they think you're perfect and everything in your world is perfect as if you never mess up. (I'm not saying you're like that, i'm saying they may think that)

I wonder if any of those reasons are why they are saying this to you?

Sometimes, it could be just a practical issue that we're not seeing about ourselves rather than 'people are corrupt and evil and that's why they can't see it'. Jesus mixed with evil and lost people every day "and Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man." Luke 2:52
Either that or it could just be a personality class with these people especially if you get on okay with everyone else in your life who isn't Christian.

I'm assuming at work they are not the same faith as you?
