I’m looking for some new reading material, does anyone have some suggestions?, maybe the top three books you have ever read,
“Other than the Bible the obvious number 1”

Any Suggestions would be welcome; I am aiming to read at least one a month for pleasure.
Cheers

I recently read "Back to Jerusalem" a today story of the Chinese Christian's (100,000) as they travel the old 'Silk Road' preaching the gospel along an 'old trade route' to Jerusalem.

P.M me if you cannot get this paper back.

A good read

Here is a $ 6.99 **** that's worth a lot more in terms of growing spiritually.

The Straregy of Satan. How to detect and defeat him.

By Warren W. Wiersbe
Tyndale House Publishers

I like Warren Wiersbe. He has more than 150 books in print. Everything I have read has been uplifting.

Please tell us what kind of Christian books you like and I will be glad to give you some more imput.

I generally have three books I am reading st the same time. I read one until I need a brake and so forth. Reading is such a gift fron the LORD. We are so blessed to live in the US and books are very affordable. I was in Mexico City last in 1991 and books there were very expensive, a book on mexico's history, paperback about 200 pages was $35 + usd. Bibles in Bolivia are generally too expensive for most people in la Paz.

The best Book of all our owners manual......the Bible!

"My Family and Other Animals"

Gerald Durrell

And if you like that one there are two more books about his life on Corfu.

Hi. "Truth Triumphant" by B G Wilkinson.

An excerpt from the introduction:
.....The doctrines of the primitive Christian church spread to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. As grains of mustard seed they lodged in the hearts of many godly souls in southern France and northern Italy — people known as the Albigenses and the Waldenses. The faith of Jesus was valiantly upheld by the Church of the East. This term, as used by the author, not only includes the Syrian and Assyrian Churches, but is also the term applied to the development of apostolic Christianity throughout the lands of the East.
The spirit of Christ, burning in the hearts of loyal men who would not
compromise with paganism, sent them forth as missionaries to lands afar. Patrick, Columbanus, Marcos, and a host of others were missionaries to distant lands. They braved the ignorance of the barbarian, the intolerance of the apostate church leaders, and the persecution of the state in order that they might win souls to God.
....

This book is available free online to download in PDF form.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will pop onto CBD later on today and have a look for these, i try to buy a good few books at a time because it takes a few weeks to get them to Ireland

Keep them coming

Hi Mounty,
If you enjoy Christian fiction, try anything by Francine Rivers. My personal all-time fave is The Mark of the Lion series, a trilogy about first century Jerusalem. Rivers did amazing research and brings it and its characters to life! Happy reading.
I'm always looking for great suggestions too...

I recommend The Grace Outpouring by Roy Godwin and Dave Roberts. Its easy to read and is about experiences at a Christian retreat called Ffald-y-Brenin in Wales. I found it really faith-building and would really like to visit it at some point.

Other books I've enjoyed have been :-

Chasing the Dragon by Jackie Pullinger
A Cop for Christ by Mike Disanza
Total Forgiveness by R.T. Kendall
The Heavenly Man by Brother Yun

Hey,

I don't know what kind of books you read, but I read scribe once and it seemed alright. :) I believe that's what it was called.

I doubt this is the kind of book you're looking for, but I just put a free ebook up on my site. Shares my views on Veggie Tales, the bible, lying, hearing God, electric power, and a bunch of other stuff :)

pdf, and mobi format for ebook readers.

I can't post the link, and I'm not quite sure if it's in my profile or not

Book i enjoyed!

I recently read a book called "23 minutes in hell" and this may sound like an over statement but it was quite a life changing book. You should look it up :)

I am currently reading that trilogy GraceHeart. Just less than half way through it and love it

Read and Search God's Plan of His mercy upon all. By Harold Lovelace.

Christless Christianity By Michaael Horton

The Gospel Driven Life By Michael Horton

I have read several others lately also by T.Austin Sparks and some written by friends. I am also rereading some books that I read a few years back.
