This will be somewhat lengthy but please read and understand this.
The series is based on a very good game of the same name.
In this, the role of Bill was an outsider/solo survivor and there was mention of a "Frank" who we find in another house where he's hung himself and left a note. The note was NOT one of love and in fact, Frank HATES Bill.
Bill refers to Frank as his "partner" and at the time I though the two were friends before the apocalypse and had simply joined up to survive. Anywho, both exist in only ONE chapter in the game and are NEVER mentioned again.
There is NOTHING to suggest Ellie is gay either.
The original was great for many reasons but b/c 99% of the problems of a modern world are non-existent in an apocalyptic world.
"The Last of Us" wasn't about finding "love".

On video games, they can tell some great stories and this is one of them.
That "actor" has no problem calling anyone who disagrees with the LIVE version making more of the two than was ever in the original game.
Bill and DEAD gay Frank (if either was) were just useless FILLER.
The sequel is atrocious but that is another topic and one I care nothing to pursue.

Side note: The 2nd part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, "Final Fantasy Rebirth" comes out tonight and for me 11p.m. CST.
The original is the game which cemented by love and enjoyment of video games.
**There is a game slated to be released this year "I am Jesus Christ." (Steam only that I know of.)
Note: Default God mode.
