Thursday, October 8, 2015, 5:30 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “The Letters.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Isaiah 48 (Selected NASB).
Nor In Righteousness (vv. 1-2)
We live in a massive age of deception. Satan has blinded the eyes of so many people so that they cannot see the truth. Within the gatherings of the church are many who call themselves Christians, some of whom may have been raised attending church meetings, and so they think they are Christian just because they attend church gatherings. They may even give witness to having a relationship with Jesus Christ, but they do not do so in truth or in righteousness. In other words, they are Christian in name only, but they do not truly know Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord of their lives. Some do so out of ignorance, because they have been deceived, while others do so with full knowledge in order to deceive. They are the wolves in sheep’s clothing who have secretly slipped in among us to spy on our freedom in Christ, to bring us back under bondage, and to introduce destructive heresies which tickle the itching ears of those who will listen to them (2 Pet. 2; Jude 1).
These wolves in sheep’s clothing exist within the church as pastors, elders, deacons, small group leaders, or in other positions of power and authority within the gatherings of the true church, and within the institutional church. They also exist among our politicians, some of whom may use “Christian” as a means to get into people’s hearts and minds, and to gain their support and trust. We will find them in positions of government leadership, either at the federal, state or city level, and among our newscasters who present us daily with what they want us to believe is going on in the world, some of which may be the truth. Many people who also call themselves Christians, or who may indeed be Christians, will follow these people, believing what they say, and will trust them to tell them the truth because they fail to test what these people are saying against the word of truth. Since it sounds good, and feels good, they accept it. They may even refuse to test it if asked to do so.
Those who are the deceivers, who use the name “Christian” in order to get people’s trust, often use very subtle means of introducing the lies so that the lies are barely noticed by those who are lacking in discernment. I have noticed one method they use is to quote scripture, but not actually teach what the scripture says, and then teach their lies, which have nothing to do with the scripture. By doing this they subtly give the impression that what they are teaching is Biblical, when in fact it is not. Another method they use is to quote scripture but then twist it by taking it out of context or by isolating it from the whole of scripture, with regard to the same subject, in order to teach their lies. Others of these deceivers don’t even bother with scripture, but allude to what they believe are the teachings of scripture, as though they are scripture. Others may proclaim that what they believe is of Christ, but they are making it all up from their own minds and human reasoning.
Yet, this deception reaches far beyond just what can be tested Biblically. We live in an era when our government leaders and news media lie to us on a daily basis as far as what is going on in the rest of the world and in our own nation. A lot of these situations being reported in the news are total fabrications, or else they are staged or partially staged, or parts of them are real but they are amplified beyond the truth of the situation or else we are being fed lies as to who the perpetrators truly are or even who the targets truly are. For instance, ISIS is a creation of our government and their allies, and is recruited, trained, equipped and financed by our government (and their allies, possibly), as are the Taliban and Al Qaida. So, when our government says they are going after ISIS, this is a lie. They are going after independent nations, to take them down, and they are going after Christians, to get them to deny Christ or else to discredit them and the gospel, or to eradicate them. This calls for much discernment in prayer, asking the Lord to reveal to us the lies.
As well, we have many leaders within the church, some of whom are also government leaders, who are now trying to convince the church to abandon the foundations of the Christian faith and the gospel of our salvation in order to join with them in tolerating and accepting all religions and even atheism, and all walks of life, no matter how sinful in God’s sight. They would have you believe that all faiths worship the same God or that as long as we all worship some supreme being, i.e. whom they may call by different names or a generic name such as the “master architect,” that we can all be unified. They want to do away with all which divides us as the people of this world, which means doing away with the gospel and with all those who hold fast to the testimony of Jesus, who do not deny their Lord, and who obey Christ’s commands (See: Rev. 12:17; 14:12). Yet, they preach this heresy in the name of Jesus, in the name of Christianity, and in the name of the love of God, hoping to shame God’s people into abandoning the gospel and to deny their Lord.
Tested and Refined (vv. 10-12)
Because of all this deception that is going on in the world, and in the USA, and inside the church in America and in other parts of the world, God is presently judging the world, independent nations, and his church. The purpose of this “affliction” which God is bringing upon his church and upon the worldly governments under which they live, particularly here in America, I believe, is to test and to refine his people in order to purify them so that they will live lives worthy of the calling they have received from him, and so they will be a light for the gospel to the world around them. I believe it is also to deliver his people out of captivity to all this deception. Through judgment, the eyes of the blind will be opened, they will be turned from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified through faith in Jesus Christ (See: Ac. 26:16-18), or so they will be revived, restored and renewed in faith.
God’s divine instrument of judgment is the New World Order, which I believe is the beast of Revelation, although it may not be in its completed form. This N.W.O. has been going around the world for some time now conquering independent nations and persecuting and killing Christians, as well as they have been confiscating property not their own, and have been stealing natural resources from other nations. First they create a chaotic situation, either through weather manipulation, or through forcing “natural” disasters, faking uprisings and inciting riots; and/or through “false flag” operations where they plan and carry out terrorist attacks or the like, then pass the blame on to someone else, like another government or on the “terrorists” whom they have recruited, trained, equipped and financed. Then, they go in as “saviors” to solve the problem they first created, but not to help, but to take over, to kill and to destroy. I believe they have now entered America.
This New World Order’s goal is to bring the whole world under its rule, to form a one-world totalitarian government and one-world religion. This is the All-Seeing Eye which hovers over the unfinished pyramid on the Great Seal of the USA. It is a hardened and formidable power, causing fear and dread wherever they go. Pope Francis and Barack Obama appear to be the primary voices and faces for this New World Order, as they are presently forcefully persuading the people of the world to comply, conform and unite with this N.W.O.’s government and one-world religion. ISIS appears to be a privatized military force of this New World Order, as well. So much of our media, too, is under the control of the N.W.O. In other words, the N.W.O. uses continuous physical force, persuasion, influence and/or intimidation to make the people of this world do what they want them to do. So, this calls for much discernment in prayer, asking God to show us what is true and what is false.
If Only (vv. 17-19)
God is calling out to his adulterous and idolatrous church to repent of their sins, forsake their idols, and submit to God and obey Christ’s commands. Jesus died, not just so we could go to heaven when we die. He died that we might die with Christ to sin and be raised with Christ to newness of life, “created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness” (Eph. 4:24). He died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (1 Pet. 2:24). He died that we might no longer live for ourselves but for him who gave himself up for us (2 Co. 5:15). And, he died that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us who walk not after the flesh but according to the Spirit. If we persist in conducting our lives according to our sinful flesh, we will die. But if by the Spirit we put to death the deeds of the flesh, we will live (Ro. 8:1-14). His grace, which brings salvation, teaches us to say “NO” to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, godly and upright lives while we wait for Christ’s return (Tit. 2:11-14). This is why Jesus died on a cross for our sins.
Our Rock and Redeemer (vv. 20-22)
God is also calling out to his church to flee from their Babylon, i.e. from the world’s system, and from conformity to the ways of the world, and he is calling them to be holy, i.e. to be set apart (unlike, different) from the world, because they are becoming like Jesus. This includes fleeing the institutional church which has united itself with an evil government here in America, and which, for the most part, has gone the way of the world by bringing the world and its ways into the church to the point to where the vast majority of the church here in America has become just like the world instead of being a light to the world for Jesus and for his gospel. This has also opened the church wide to being deceived by these wolves in sheep’s clothing, which is why God is delivering his church out from underneath this deception via the affliction he is now putting upon us, which will become even more evident with time. So, listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches, and obey God.
The Letters / An Original Work / December 17, 2013
Based off Revelation 2-3
To the angels of all the churches write:
These are the words of your Lord and your God.
I know all your deeds, and your witness, too,
And who holds to My words and tells what’s true.
I know all your hard work and your perseverance,
Yet I hold against you: you’ve forsaken Me.
Listen to what I say to you.
You have people there who deny My name,
And who put the cross of Christ up to shame.
They entice the people to Me, profane,
And their worship of Me is all in vain.
They are so adult’rous as they chase their idols,
And you put up with them easily enough.
Listen to what I say to you.
You give off an image of godliness,
But what you present is so fraudulent,
Or else you lack passion for Jesus Christ,
So you look to others to tell what’s right.
I say turn from your sin, or you will face judgment.
He who overcomes will have eternal life.
Listen to what I say to you.
I know your afflictions and poverty;
How you suffer for your Lord patiently.
Do not fear the devil and company.
You be faithful to your Lord endlessly.
I know all your weakness and your dedication.
You have kept My Word and not denied your Lord.
I will write on you My new name.
Nor In Righteousness (vv. 1-2)
“Hear this, O house of Jacob, who are named Israel
And who came forth from the loins of Judah,
Who swear by the name of the Lord
And invoke the God of Israel,
But not in truth nor in righteousness.
“For they call themselves after the holy city
And lean on the God of Israel;
The Lord of hosts is His name.
And who came forth from the loins of Judah,
Who swear by the name of the Lord
And invoke the God of Israel,
But not in truth nor in righteousness.
“For they call themselves after the holy city
And lean on the God of Israel;

I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
“For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act;

And My glory I will not give to another.

“If only you had paid attention to My commandments!

And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

Our Rock and Redeemer (vv. 20-22)
Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans!
Declare with the sound of joyful shouting, proclaim this,
Send it out to the end of the earth;
Say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob.”
They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts.
He made the water flow out of the rock for them;
He split the rock and the water gushed forth.
“There is no peace for the wicked,” says the Lord.
Declare with the sound of joyful shouting, proclaim this,
Send it out to the end of the earth;
Say, “The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob.”
