What to you do when another Christian thinks what your doing is wrong but you dont? Example - drinking. Isn't there a verse in the bible saying something about not making another Christian stumble?

Read the whole chapter at Romans chapter 14. It covers the matter nicely.
However also be aware that many of the modern Christian version of the Pharisee love to use this set of verses as a way of forcing others to conform to their legalistic lifestyle. Note that it says that you aren't supposed to use it as a method of judging others, yet they use this chapter to do so. They are also fond of using theoretical brothers in Christ (who are convieniently out of vision range) as weapons. You will offend these extemely touchy and sensitive ones (even if they are nowhere around to see you).

Well, when it comes to drinking it's a complete personal decision. Of course you're not supposed to get drunk.

18 “Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and anxiety. 19 And say to the people of the land, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the land of Israel: “They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with dread, so that her land may be emptied of all who are in it, because of the violence of all those who dwell in it. 20 Then the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall become desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.”’”

I think John Bevere said it best, in Europe they drink socially. He was with a highly regarded European pastor and the pastor ordered some wine but before asked if he was going to be offended by his drinking. John knew that he didn't get drunk he just drank a few drinks here and there and John said No, but I will not be joining you. It's really a matter of choice/culture. In Europe they drink because they enjoy it whereas in America there's a higher rate of alchoholism so it's looked as wrong. I'm a man of God who is in full-time ministry but that doesn't mean I won't have a beer in my fridge and I won't have a beer during a game or something once I turn 21.

This is the part that you are talking about.

Romans 14.
19Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.

22So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

At the end of the day we are only needing to please Jesus and He told us to love Him with all our heart all our mind and all our strength and to love our neighbour as ourselves.

God bless :love: :rainbow: :rose:

Always use the Word (Scripture) as reference and foundation for all truth. Use prayer as the weapon GOD has given us, in Jesus' name to ask the Holy Spirit for a confirmation of the truth, a resolution to the questions in mind or situation at hand. Also, keep this in mind:

2 Timothy 2:23-25

23 But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. 24 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

I may be wrong, but, I think the core issue in your post is drinking.If that is true, we have a currently active thread entitled "alcohol" that will probably be of great help to you.

If one drinks in front of a newly sober recovering alcoholic, yes, that drinking may be a temptation that the other person cannot overcome and thereby cause the other person to relapse into active alcoholism. Also, if a person who drinks cannot do without a drink when he/she is in the presence of a person who is trying to stop, he/she needs to examine their own situation as to whether or not they are alcoholics themselves.

Rom 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;
Rom 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Rom 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rom 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Rom 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Rom 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

We are to have the mind set and heart that enables us to live peacibly as as possible with all. Knowing full well that there are those for who nothing will bring about a peaceful solution.
sincerely His
