Well, when it comes to drinking it's a complete personal decision. Of course you're not supposed to get drunk.

18 “Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and anxiety. 19 And say to the people of the land, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the land of Israel: “They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with dread, so that her land may be emptied of all who are in it, because of the violence of all those who dwell in it. 20 Then the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall become desolate; and you shall know that I am the LORD.”’”
I think John Bevere said it best, in Europe they drink socially. He was with a highly regarded European pastor and the pastor ordered some wine but before asked if he was going to be offended by his drinking. John knew that he didn't get drunk he just drank a few drinks here and there and John said No, but I will not be joining you. It's really a matter of choice/culture. In Europe they drink because they enjoy it whereas in America there's a higher rate of alchoholism so it's looked as wrong. I'm a man of God who is in full-time ministry but that doesn't mean I won't have a beer in my fridge and I won't have a beer during a game or something once I turn 21.
