Chad/Brothers/Sisters, This is a chapter from the "Little Book" of Revelation chapter 10, and a True Translation of from the Greek, Matthew 5:3, Not KJV, or any other Bible edition.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

ON THE NATURE OF INSPIRATION

There are, according to the witness of explicit verses, three levels or degrees of inspiration, two of which were utilized in the givingof the Scripture. Of the first the Lord said,(in the Greek), Blessed by the Spirit are the poor people, because the Kingdom of the Heavens belongs to them (Matthew 5:3). And so every poor man on the surface of the planet does receive the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit which witnesses to him, though in non-verbal form, all those truths, however infrequently confessed by word, recognized as self-evident in the heart by the whole of the lower class, children of the Kingdom, be they ever so alien and therefore ludicrous or repugnant to the children of the evil one. And of this type is the witness of I Peter 4:6, “For this very reason is the Gospel preached also to those who are dead, so that they, though having been judged according to the judgment of men through the flesh, might yet live according to the will of God through the Spirit” — for those who, having been predestined to be conformed to His image, are found like Him in this world (Romans 8:29; I John 4:17), being of the lower class and so children of the Kingdom and its heirs, already having the true form of the Gospel written on their hearts but without words, will accept it, recognizing it as the same as the inward witness always known to them, whenever they find it presented verbally, and so will become at that point in this life or the next “born again” or “regenerated” by the breaking through to the level of consciousness through the witness now of the word of the Scripture of the message given them of old by the Spirit; and as in I Peter 1:23-25.

The second level is the result of a powerful impulse from that same Spirit, the reception of which automatically transforms the recipient into a prophet. Yet the message from the Hidden World delivered in this manner is given in a non-verbal form and filters through the personality of the prophet involved before being committed to writing, where it can become distorted to some extent by his prior inclination or bias or where elements of his prior education can adhere to it. Of this type was the communication that came to all the prophets of the Old Testament, and all the authors of the New Testament books as well with the sole exception of the apostle John when he received the book of Revelation from the Holy One, the True One. And Paul clearly witnesses of the distinction between this level and that higher one of verbal inspiration to be introduced later at the time of the giving of the perfection of knowledge and prophecy, saying in I Corinthians 13:8-13, “Love will have no end. But whether there are prophecies, they will be done away with; or tongues, they will cease; or knowledge, it will be done away with; because we know partially and we prophesy partially. When that which is perfect comes, however, that which is partial will be done away with. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I did away with childish things. For now we see things enigmatically through a looking glass; but then face to face. I know now partially; but then I will know fully, just as I am fully known. So there remain faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Thus the book of Revelation, in which we find written out for us in unmistakable detail the course that history has in fact taken and the institutional forms that have in fact arisen during so many ages as have passed since its giving, emerges as the apex of the whole prophetic process and as the lens through which all concepts and predictions of the whole Bible are to be observed and analyzed and as the touchstone by which they are to be measured, in which the Old Testament latter-day prophecies are reapplied to the group of the true elect and purified of their Israelite and Judean nationalist discoloration, and in which the whole eschatological content of the remainder of the New Testament is structured and ordered.

Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are Your ways, O King of the nations!
Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your Name?
For You alone are the Holy One.
For all nations will come and worship before You
because Your judgments have been revealed!

— Revelation 15:3-4

Revelations is the same story told twice ,two different ways!
Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works

Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
Rev 16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

secondRev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
Rev 16:3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

Rev 8:10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
Rev 16:4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

This post is off to bad start here with this “true” translation, (which by the way seems to imply the others are false?).

To begin with “Blessed by the Spirit...” is surely an unjustified translation. The Greek here for the word blessed means “fortunate or happy or prosperous”; there is no “by the Spirit” in the original.

A fair translation might read, “Happy [spiritually] are [the] poor [Greek: ptochos, “destitute of wealth... lowly, afflicted, poor, needy”] in spirit [Greek: “pneuma”]...”

I’ve a translation here that reads, “Happy, spiritually, are the financially poor, because theirs is Heaven’s realm.” Hmmm... well, getting close. Wuest translates it this way: “Spiritually prosperous are the destitute and helpless in the realm of the spirit, because theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” This teaching is in harmony with the fullness of Scripture.

The poor translation in the above post then becomes a broken foundation for some debatable teaching. These complicated opinions are expressed in somewhat cumbersome English, which, I suspect, few will persevere with -- one sentence runs to 126 words. I'm not being critical for the sake of it. Good modern communication in any "book" is a given (unless of course it's over 150 years old.)

“And so every poor man on the surface of the planet does receive the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit...” Being literally poor qualifies one for God’s revelation?

I’m afraid it’s all too confusing and ill-fitting, to say the least.

<o:p>Sam, Please Study ALL The BIBLE, JESUS said, "AS It IS WRITTEN" - Surely the poor people are chosen alone, and not another group with them, as the Scripture says, Blessed are the poor people, because the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place><st1:PlaceType>Kingdom</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName>God</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> belongs to you” (Luke <st1:time Hour="18" Minute="20">6:20</st1:time>) and (in the Greek), “Blessed by the Spirit are the poor people, because the Kingdom of the Heavens belongs to them” (Matthew 5:3); but to the rich Christ says, “But woe to you who are rich, because you have received your consolation” (Luke <st1:time Hour="18" Minute="24">6:24</st1:time>) and, “How hard is it for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God? It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God!” (Luke 18:24-25).

Scripture says, Hasn’t God chosen the poor people out of the world, those being rich in faith and so heirs of the Kingdom that He has promised for the ones who love Him? But you have despised the poor people! Don’t the rich oppress you? And they drag you into the courts. Don’t they blaspheme the good Name that is called on you?” (James 2:5-7). And again, “They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. Therefore they say to God, ‘Depart from us, for we desire not the knowledge of Your ways’ ” (Job <st1:time Hour="21" Minute="13">21:13</st1:time>-14). Also Read James Chapter 5.

Prayer Before Bible <st1:City><st1:place>Reading</st1:place></st1:City>: Let us praise the book of God the Scriptures of the Blessed Jesus this that is more real than life for the Holy Life within it.

And behold the never failing sense of purpose, structure, security, and psychological grounding, that arise from the motions of the Law; and how the mere act of defining a thing as good or bad, or pure or impure, or permitted or forbidden, gives an individual an automatic and very real dignity not obtainable otherwise; for by refraining from what is evil and pursuing what is good, the individual finds himself elevated, purified, and ennobled, freed from reliance upon the acceptance or rejection of men, and brought into the presence of the power and the peace that preceded and transcends the world.

BUT WOE TO YOU WHO ARE RICH

PSALM 49
To the chief musician; a psalm for the sons of Korah.

1 Let all the peoples hear this; listen, all you inhabitants of the world:
2 Both low and high, rich and poor together.
3 My mouth will utter wisdom; for the meditation of my heart has led me to understanding.
4 I will direct my attention to a maxim; I will resolve my enigma to the accompaniment of the harp.
5 Why should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my supplanters surrounds me?
6 Those who trust in their wealth, and boast about the abundance of their riches;
7 None of them can in any way redeem his brother, or give to God a ransom for him —
8 For redeeming them would entail too high an expense, one that could never be undertaken —
9 That he might continue living forever and not see corruption.
10 For he sees that the wise die, that the foolish and brutish likewise perish, and leave their wealth to others.
11 Their inner thought is that their houses will endure forever, and their dwelling places throughout the generations; they call lands after their own names.
12 But a man who is in honor does not endure: he is like the beasts that perish.
13 This is their way, and it is their folly; yet their posterity speak approvingly of it. Selah.
14 They are placed in the grave like sheep; death will feed on them; and the upright will rule over them the morning after; and their form will be consumed by the grave, even by the habitation appointed for them.
15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, for He will receive me. Selah.
16 Have no fear when someone becomes rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
17 Because at his death he will take nothing with him; his glory will not descend after him.
18 Though he praised himself when he was among the living —and people will praise you when you do well for yourself —
19 He shall go to the generations of his fathers; they shall never see light.
20 A man who is in honor and so cannot understand is like the beasts that perish.

PSALM 73
A psalm of Asaph.

1 Surely God is good to <st1:country-region><st1:place>Israel</st1:place></st1:country-region>, even to those who are pure of heart.
2 As for me, my feet almost stumbled, my steps came close to slipping;
3 For I was envious of the arrogant, seeing the prosperity of the wicked.
4 For their strength is so firm that there are no sufferings connected even with their death.
5 They have no troubles like other men; nor are they plagued like other men.
6 Therefore pride gives them the most erect of postures; violence covers them like a garment.
7 They are so obese that their eyes protrude! They have more than the heart could imagine.
8 They have degenerated and, as they speak with evil intent of oppression, so do they speak against Him who dwells on high.
9 Yes, just as they direct their mouths against Heaven, so do their tongues go about through the earth.
10 Therefore His people have retrogressed to this condition; and a full cup of waters of affliction has been poured out for them.
11 And they say, "However does God know? And could One so high know?"
12 Behold, these are the wicked: even those who prosper in the world, having attained to wealth.
13 Certainly it was in vain that I cleansed my heart and washed my hands in innocence!
14 For I notice that I have been plagued all day long, and that my chastisement has been renewed every morning!
15 If I had said, "I will speak in this vein," behold, I would have been acting treacherously against the generations of Your children.
16 When I even thought about how one might understand this, it seemed a wearisome matter to me —
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I understood their end.
18 Surely You have set them in slippery places; You throw them down to destruction.
19 How are they destroyed as in a moment! They are utterly consumed by terrors.
20 Like any dream when one awakes, so, O Lord, when You awake, You will despise their image --- (12 Behold, these are the wicked: even those who prosper in the world, having attained to wealth).
21 For my heart was embittered, and there was a sharp sensation in my kidneys;
22 For I was so brutish and ignorant, I was like a beast before You;
23 Yet I am continually with You: You have grasped me by my right hand.
24 You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25 Who do I have in Heaven other than You? And there is no one that I have any desire to serve along with You on earth.
26 Even though my flesh and my heart will be consumed, God will be as an impregnable position for my heart, and He will be my portion forever.
27 For behold, those who are far from You will perish; You destroy all those who turn away from You.
28 But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God; I have placed my trust in the Lord GOD, that I might declare all Your messages.

LUKE 16:19-31

19 There was a certain rich man who, clothing himself in purple and fine linen, was ever of a cheerful disposition, being in luxury.
20 And there was a certain poor man named Lazarus who had been placed by his gate, covered with sores,
21 Who wanted to be fed with what fell from the table of the rich man; also dogs came and they licked his sores.
22 And it happened that the poor man died, and was carried away by the angels to the bosom of Abraham; the rich man also died and was buried;
23 And in Hell lifting up his eyes, being in torments, he saw Abraham from far off and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he called out, saying, "Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus that he might dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in torment in this flame."
25 But Abraham said, "Son, remember that you during your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus his bad things; but now he is comforted here while you are tormented.
26 "And besides all this, a great chasm has been placed between us and you people, so that those who might want to pass from here to you cannot; neither can anyone cross over from there to us."
27 Then he said, "Let me ask of you then, father, to send him to my father’s house;
28 "Because I have five brothers; that he might testify to them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment."
29 But Abraham said, "They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them."
30 But he said, "No, father Abraham; but if someone from the dead would go to them, they would repent."
31 But he said to him, "If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead."

How hard is it for a rich man to enter the <st1:place><st1:PlaceType>Kingdom</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName>God</st1:PlaceName></st1:place>?
