One more Weapon !

[Jehovah Jireh]

Most of us have read the whole armour of God in Ephesians Chapter 6 where we are to use these weapons to fight spiritually.

Eph 6:11 - Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Belt of truth
Breastplate of rightiousness
Feet of readiness
Sheild of faith
Helmet of salvation
Sword of the spirit

There is one more weapon that we can use, that we dont use enough, that is the BLOOD of Jesus

Exodus 12:22-23 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house till morning.

Exodus 12:13 - Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when i see the blood, i will passover you and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when i strike the land of Egypt.

This was the passover lamb.

Jesus is also known as the lamb.

Revelation 5:12 - Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, To recieve power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honour and glory and blessing !

Imagine the Israelites took thier basin of lambs blood and just laid it on the floor at the bottom of the door, and said "we are ok we have the blood at our door we will be safe".

By all accounts they wouldnt have applied it to the door and therefore would have been caught up in the plagues that were to destroy Egypt.

We have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus

Revelation 5:9 - You are worthy to take the scroll, and open its seals, for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood.

Sometimes we Christians know we have been redeemed, and believe in the blood of Jesus but never applied it to our "door posts".

By that i mean we are the temple of the holy ghost, whos sin, shame, was all taken care of by Jesus at the cross, yet we still walk in condemnation and guilt from the devil, he is the father of all lies - dont listen to him.

Apply that blood of Jesus to your temple daily, by declaring his word that we are the rightiousness of God.

Romans 3:22 - Even the rightiousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe.

It is finished. Jesus did it all on that tree.

Brothers and sisters

When we read about the whole armour of God in Ephesians 6 lets not stop in the middle of the sentence but keep going. Many stop with verse 17.

It says:

Ephesians 6
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.



Verse18 says - Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit


This is the 7 th part of the armour and very important not to leave it off.
It is a crucial part of the armour to protect us and those we intercede for.



Rom 8: 26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Hmm what about the speaking up about God yeah

Yeah i don't agree ok that it stops there either Gloria

because the fruit of the armour is the speaking out at the end. Gods stuff always produces fruit yeah? and so if ya had armour and prayer and it didn't produce fruit it would be of no good!
But the end bit about the reason that we got all this armour is like because so we can speak out as we should and not be fearful. This the reason for the armour and the prayers too so that we can do that.

If ya stop at the prayers and don't speak out then you are not doing anything much yeah? get me?
