Hello my dear friends

It has been one of those days. Everybody has them. You wake up only to find that you have slept in and then you stepped on the cat’s tail. (I did apologize to her) Now it is all down hill from there. I speak from a heart that is somewhat frustrated and feeling much alone today. So please forgive me - I am just venting. Work has to be done, bills have to be paid, kids have to be fed - and what I have cut the grass again.

The day is ending now and I am sitting in the quiet, I hear His sweet voice telling me again ‘Be still and know that I am God”. In my heart I know the truth but sometimes I wonder how can I face another day knowing that my problems will still be with me?

In Christ alone, of course, who is our source of strength for today and hope for tomorrow. He didn’t promise us a bed of roses but He did promise that He will never leave us or forsake us. I say to myself focus on Jesus not the waves. Sometimes I feel like Peter who lost his focus and began to sink. When Jesus saved him, He said "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?" (Matthew 14:31)

I know that answer - we really too much on our senses but not our faith - believing even we can't see around or ahead of us. Tomorrow is new day - hopefully I will do better focusing on Jesus and not the waves. Thanks for listening. God bless.

Love,
Snowrose

Isaiah 40 is a favorite passage of mine...and I love the meaning of the words as found in this verse ...

Isa 40:31 But they that wait [A primitive root; to bind together] upon the LORD shall renew [def:spring up, grow up, sprout] their strength; [def: numerousness or abundant strength]

Anyone who gardens can read that, and picture little roots winding themselves around something secure...and isnt Christ the VINE? He not only causes us to grow, He gives us abundant strength...and all we have to do is cling a little closer to Him when we are having one of those days, and He does the rest! Isnt that beautiful!

Great faith can move great mountains sister. GOD bless you and your faithfulness in Jesus Christ

Hi Snowrose,

I'm off to play badminton at the Methodist church but I just wanted to quickly let you know that it is a good thread and good to know the power we can have if we just keep our eyes on Jesus.

God Bless

Eve

Thank you my dear friends. My problems were still with me this morning and though I did not feel His presence, I knew in my heart He was near.

Today I read Hebrews 12 and this is the first verses: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Could I ask more of Him when He has already given me so much? Oh how He loves you and me. Praise the Lord for He is worthy of all honour and glory.

Love,
Snowrose

PS. Coconut - Yes that is beautiful. Thank you.
