Hey Everbody!
I would like to know people's opinion's on organ donation at death, is it right to take away things from the body the Lord gave us or can it be justified by the new life it gives to those who recieve the organs? Would it be right for a Christian to give their organs? Love to know your thoughts.......

For me the question was initially a simple and personal one. Would I give one of my kidneys to my own child to save his/her life? My answer was simply and immediately yes. Then in realizing that God is no respecter of persons it was easy to extend that to would I give it to anyone to save their life? Again the answer was yes.

So, I have a drivers license that states in the event of my death I agree to donate my organs to save someone else.

It was a prayerfully determined, personal decision and it may not be for everyone, but it is a decision that is an act of love on my part.

Hello Christcoreist.

I think organ & tissue donations is an act of charity and love. It is something good that can result from tragedy and a way for families to find comfort in helping others.

God Bless

I guess this would sum it up perfectly

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

John 13:16
I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him

As you can see, Christ died for our sins (and rose again). We are finite beings , His servants. If He loved us, we should love others. He gave up His body, we can do the same in the act of love.

Thanks everbody,my initial thoughts was that it is a noble and loving act to give one's organs so that others can have life I am now seriously considering obtaining a donor card so that I may help others after my death. Thanks once again.

I fully agree with what is said here. The question for me is not if it is right to give what God has given us to others. The Bible says that there is no greater love than he who gives his life for his fellow man. The question I would like to ask however is if there is something we can do to save someone else after we are dead and don't need our organs any more and failed to do it will God still call us His children?
