OUR CHRISTIAN MANTRAS

Seekers, true seekers of God, defeated, lost, wandering and searching for an answer out in this crazy world are waiting for someone, anyone to dare to stand up and say "It works! It works! It works for me! Praise God! I was a mess and defeated by sin my entire walk and now sin and worldliness and my old man lay at my feet, not because of my efforts but because of the power of the Living God, MY living God. I am more than a conqueror thru Christ Jesus and sin shall NOT have dominion over me." Where are the seekers who cry out to be set free? Why are we satisfied with crumbs when God has a spiritual feast for us?

What the seeker gets instead is our American Christian Mantras. We should carve them on the doors of our churches.

"We are only human."

and how can we forget the alltime Christian favorite?

"Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven"

Saints of the living God, we need to see the evil of the unbelief hidden in these statements, not in our abilities but in HIS abilities! We need desperately to recognize the deeply embedded unbelief lying hidden in our words that prevents us from crying out for Jesus to do what He promised He would do for us. There is an answer, but until one believes it is even possible to walk above the world, the flesh and the devil, there is NO hope of ever discovering the answer, and there IS an answer. There is a rest that remaineth for the children of God, and that is not in the sweet bye and bye. It is NOW.

Even if a Christian has failed at defeating sin and temptations his or her entire walk with God, until he cries out to God in brokenness like Paul "O wretched man that I am, who shall set me free from this bondage of sin and death", God will let the blinders remain and he will never progress to Romans 8:1 and be able to testify "Thank God thru Jesus Christ my Lord." Why does it not bother a Christian when His Lord has promised that in EVERY temptation, He would provides a way of escape, that we would be able to bear it? How in the heck can we count it all joy when we fall into diverse temptations if we expect to fail because we are only human?

Why are our hearts satisfied with this "theoretical" righteousness when our lives are denying the power of godlliness in real life, denying Gods power to change His people from glory to glory? His people should be WAILING "God, I am tired of dishonoring the name I bear...YOUR name. If I cannot walk in a way that will truly glorify you, take me out of the way so I do not poison other peoples faith and bring them down to my level. Kill me or show me the way! Brokenness and hunger must preceed God moving.

Here are the words of Almighty God.

"Blessed are those that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.".

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.".

Until we are satisfied not with just forgivness but cry out for a pure heart, we will continue to do laps in the wilderness, until all unbelief dies off. The Promised Land is out there for any and for all, the strong, the weak, the failure, the addict, ANYONE who hungers for righteousness, not matter how weak, not matter how many times they have failed, but brokenness, hunger, repentance for limiting God in our unbelief and mustard seed faith are the milestones along the road out of the wilderness and into the rest of God.

Hear what God is speaking to our Laodecian church.

"And you have blasphemed my name whereever you have gone. ....And the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall be sanctified IN YOU in their midst. I shall yet be inquired of by the House of Israel to DO IT FOR THEM."

It is time, fellow saints that we rise up and possess the land. Will you believe the 10 spies who brought back the evil report that there were giants in the land? Or will you hear the two who said "God has said He has given us the land. Let us go in and take it."

Saints, we have three choices here.

1) Go back to Egypt and the fleshpots of the world- Hey, after all they had
great leeks and onions.

2) Remain in the winderness, not in the world, not in the rest, wandering
aimlessly, weary, searching but not finding. Hey, manna is boring but it is
better than onions.

3) Enter into the Promised Land, enjoy the abiding presence of our
Heavenly Father who bids you to come dine with Him and eat
of the tree of Life.

The hour is late. The sands in the hourglass are disappearing quickly. Your choice. What say you?
