As there are it seems ,so many young & older who are feed up to the teeth with the OTT suggestions & legislation around the whole area of things P.C.

1)
Do you think this is serious & affects each of us in society??.
><> I cetainly don't think it has no baring on each of us. If we haven't been directly effected by P.C. We have all heard or read something that makes us angry for the sake of others.
2)
what is the answer????
><> When we are in direct contact with P.C. we can make a statement as simple as this. Being asked by my son if I would enjoy an art exhibition, we went to the pay desk & asked for ''one & one pentioner'' the assistant said ''senior citizen!'' I just said ''pentioner will suit me'' ( I was lighthearted that day.) I told him to accept what people found they were comfortable with not to down trodden by P.C..
Don't you think we're all able to get people to think insead of just going with the flow. Look where going with the flow has taken many countries inhabitance.
Christians might say prayer, politicals might say lobby the government, radicals ''lets march''.

3)
How do you suggest the ''man in the street'' makes his/her stand against these over emphasis.???
or should we continue to let things slide.?

><> I would say please don't just let these thing slide.

Hi there. just wanted to share my opinion on this subject with you.

I think that we are experienceing a period of over-policing where political correctness is concerned but I trust that it is a case of visiting a momentary extreme in the hope of finally settling down into a sensible balance. Maybe I am wrong about that but I hope not. It seems so pervasive at times, to have to constantly second-guess your own well-intentioned words about the mundanest of subjects.

I think there will be an ineveitable backlash/rebellion that will equal thing up in the end but this paticular period in western life also has the dark sceptre of litigation hanging over our every action...which is something I think we are all finding hard to get used to. I have lived in the UK for 5 years and was brought up in Australia. It wasn't too long ago that we wre talking about litigiousnes as being something of an American phenomena. How the circle turns. Homogenisation of the masses, huh? I love Britains litte quirks and peculiarities. I love being greeted with "Hullo my darling" by the local grocer rather than a cold and bland "can I help".

Stay safe and watch your P's and Q's...
