P.D.A. Right? or Wrong?

So me and my boyfriend have been going through a rough spot on this subject.

When is P.D.A. alright? And how much?

We both work in youth ministry and we are 'kinda sorta leaders' at our Youth group. We've been told not to show any PDA. Which we both understand completely.

But, what about at school? the mall? or just in everyday places? Is it okay then? or should we just not even be near one another?

We understand that we shouldn't be ALL OVER one another. But a kiss here and there? Holding hands? Hugging? Is that wrong?

Who told you not to show any PDA? It seems to me someone has allowed themselves too much liberty concerning you and your boyfriend.
No a kiss or a hug or holding hands in public is not wrong. If you are old enough to enjoy the attention of a young man, then I trust you should be old enough to use your own sense of discretion in how to conduct yourself at all times. If you have been trusted with youth leadership, then I expect you have taken the instruction of 1Ti 4:12 to heart.

'Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for other believers in your speech, behavior, love, faithfulness, and purity' (abstaining from sexual relations)

Blessings

thank you so much!
And really our youth pastor just talked to us about it...then my boyfriend took it all a bit out of context...[men right?]

but i will definately show/talk to him about this. Thank you thank you thank you!

God Bless <3

I'm in total agreement with sister Coconut. P.D.A. is freedom for the couple. Be free, enjoy each other in line with what GOD taught us to act like as Christians.

I have no problem with that myself. Actually, I do. I'm missing the other person (woman, thank you)

I think the anti PDA people are likely very traditional or old fashioned perhaps.

Just for those whose native language is not English, P.D.A is an abbreviation for "Public Display of Affection".

If PDA stands for public display of affection, I see nothing wrong with it as long as it's not sexual touching in any way. I get lost with all these abbreviations.

PDA

PDA public display of affection is fine as long you are not being vulgar. Use tact in front of the young people, but holding hands, a kiss should not turn someone world upside down.

Do not let others put on you their own personal convictions to put you in bondage!

God bless Trucker

Hey, that's news to some of us whose native language IS English! Maybe I'm just too old to know that stuff.
