In a time when churches and pastors have gone woke, turning from the truth of the gospel,I have began a journey back to the preachers of the past.
One notable pastor and teacher is C H Spurgion.
I have to lay aside is belief of eternal security of the believer, but his teachings of the gospel are otherwise true and straight. A man of God from the 1800s. And the true gospel never changes with the years,or with the times.

Spurgeon was a good one! I've got an old book with several of his sermons. He was quite humorous, a story teller in his sermons.

I have another book that gives his life's story from the time of his conversion at 15. He was certainly a great man of God!

I was listening to one of his sermons from 1860,and he spoke on drug addiction way back then.
The gospel is always relevant to the time you live in.
