The word phobia... simply means "fear of".

Of course as Christians who trust in God... we should have fear of nothing but Him.

It seems the word's of the times are "homophobes", "transgenderphobes", "progressive-thinkingphobes",
"diversityphobes" that are generally used in a derogatory way to say conservative Christians are
afraid of these things. I actually don't know any Christians who are, or ever have been afraid of these things.

But I notice the reverse seems to be true.
Many in the world today are "Biblephobes", "Jesusphobes", "Godphobes", "Ten-commandmentphobes", "Prayerphobes" ... I've never seen any of the words from the latter list in the media recently.

It seems that because we don't approve of something... we must be afraid of it.
Often this is mentioned along with Christians being intolerant... (we are supposed to be intolerant of some things). However... if we remove prayer, bibles and God from workplaces, schools, colleges and Universities,
doesn't that mean these people are being intolerant?

Homophobia is not a very helpful word. A phobia is an irrational fear. I have very mild claustrophobia and - rather pathetic - phobias that relates to moths and woodlice. I know, rationally, that nobody in the history of the world has been harmed by a woodlouse, but I still get a stress reaction to the things. There is no moral or ethical element to this - I don't have a stance that says woodlice are wrong, or even that anyone else should object to them.

Homophobia implies an irrational fear of gay people. Perhaps some people have this - but it does not describe the majority of people who have a theological or an ethical objection.

Another excellent point. Well said indeed. Amen and Amen.

The world thinks that because we are Christians we are not logical.
The truth is that our foundation is actually on logic.

"The WORD became flesh". The Greek word for WORD is logos, which is the root from
which we get our word logic. Jesus is not just God incarnate but Jesus is logic incarnate. This explains why He never
lost an argument. From the question about paying taxes ("Render to Caesar what is Caesar's and render to God
what is God's") to the question about the greatest commandment ('Who was a neighbor unto this man?" Jesus asked.
The man replied "The one who should Him Mercy," Jesus said, "Go and do likewise") Jesus was never stumped.

Jesus was logic incarnate as His title, The WORD or logos, suggested.
I say this so point to the logical strength of your statement. Well said. The position of the Christian will
be the position that is logically sound because the world does not stand on truth when they speak, but
the shifting sands which are no foundation at all to make claims of truth.

Well said.
