Off of the fence you say?? Get off the grass,yes,stay off my land, but get off my fence??? The Lord in his great kindness to me,has moved upon me to encourage you all to get off the fence. Ok!! Now what fence? This one brothers and sisters!! this ONE!!! Revelation 3:16 which says.
" So because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold,I will spit you out of my mouth. Many as you all know measure there happiness by the money they can spend. If one is very low in the cash department, then they are low as well.verse 17.But it is not money from which I speak! It is from as I myself have been guilty of many times as well!
Today I am spiritual, tomorrow, or when trouble finds me,well I am not.The race we run in following our Jesus is not a race where speed is so important!! Being balanced and steady in that race is!( 1 Cor 9:23-27) verse 24 run in such a way that you may win!! When most run, they are not looking at anything except getting to the finish line. But if we do not pay attention to the things around us as we run,we could head for a stumble,or even a fall.
Verse 26 I run in such a way,as not without aim,I box in such a way, as not beating the air. meaning,do not waste your time with things which do not matter. What good is running to no goal? What use is there to box without something to hit?
When we run, we do not look to run past our Jesus,oh sure he will allow you to! Freewill is just that! But if we do, and I have a few times,we find no leader now except our self?
Since we have pushed ourselves past our Jesus,we have no one else to look to! Except that which we ourselves yet cannot see! And because we cannot,we have a stumble or a fall.Lukewarm,is nether being in the race,nor being out of it.
It is rather entering a race moving a bit then stopping.Follow does not stop. Follow, follows always! If someone from the stands says hey!! Aren't you in the race,you can say yes I am!! Can't you see me in it? Yea the yell comes back, but you are not running?? Then the lukewarm person says,yea!! But I am in the race!! You are not!! As if that is the correct answer!
Jesus says run, or be in the stands! At least we know then where we stand,and where we are! Is this a bit tough today? Perhaps a little more meat, then we are used to here. The purpose for this my wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ is not to pound you!! The purpose is to get you to do something we must always do in a race!! THINK!
That is why God gave us a brain! Where are we now? Where are we going? Where do we want to be? And! will it all be worth all the hardship we already have endured?
The worth comes at the end of a race! When you are called overcomer!! In Revelation alone please look for yourself how many times Jesus uses this term! ( rev 2:7, verse 11,verse 17,verse 26 rev 3:5,verse 12,verse 21 even toward the end of rev another reminder!! Rev 21:7)Please do read all of these!
We cannot overcome in Jesus until we run in such a way as to follow our Jesus to the finish! For to overcome,we must overcome only through and by his mighty power and love! For in so doing truth is established, and with truth, peace! For truth sets us free,and peace is our reward for having the truth. But yes,it does take work! From us as well!
Believing is not just words,it is action associated with our words. Saying I am in the race does not mean we are in the race,running in such a way as to follow Jesus does say! And by speaking to others in such a manner,gives others hope! Hope to get out of the stands and become active! WITH US!
What good is a light on the hill,that does not shine?( matt 5:14-15) Do not cover the light,and do not stand still! This did not work for Moses, and will not work for us either.( Exodus 14:15) GO Forward!!! verse 16 AS YOU!!!!
We must do something brothers and sisters, there just is no way around this! By doing, or running we follow,and by following we reach our reward in our Loving Jesus! Do FOLLOW!! Do we grow weak at times? SURE!! That is why our food while running is God's Holy Word!
We have food the others know not of!!!( john 4:32-34) To run, or to do the will of our Father who is leading us! AND!!! running to the end!! to be counted an overcomer,and there by receive our prize which is accomplish HIS WORK in us! May this give you pause,may this build you up,and get you running again! That is the purpose of this from Holy Spirit in me! Colossians 3:17!! WHATEVER you DO in Word or DEED, DO!!! all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,giving thanks through HIM to God the Father.Blessing unto you Body of Christ!
