THE WORLD (WHAT STANDARDS THEY SET)! As a real born again christian your supposed to be the light of this world, and not a mere candle either.
And what happens when a light shines in the darkness, that which is hidden in the darkness is revealed by The Light. And it cannot hide in The Darkness no more. And men will hate you for The Light you are. “For men loves darkness rather Than Light. Because their deeds are evil. So they hated JESUS so they will hate you. For being The Light for who you are, and they will kill you or wish you dead for being That LIGHT.

THE WORLD (WHAT STANDARDS THEY SET)! As a real born again christian your supposed to be the light of this world, and not a mere candle either.
1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: 5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. 7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Ephesians 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

If you believe Jesus can save sinners from their bondage to sin and to death and help keep them from their sins by casting down wicked thoughts and think on good things as well as provide the escape so they can bear it, then apply that belief towards any sin that you seem to think cannot be sin, but scriptures says it is as a work of the flesh known as "uncleanness". Ask Jesus for help to see that uncleanness is sin so you can believe your need for Him to deliver & keep you from it.

Jude 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

I think about our being the salt of the earth many times, and can't help but notice that I don't have anyone thinking anything special about me and what I say, though I know I have the truth. People liking what I say and being thankful for coming across something I wrote is not something I get, but, neither did all the other people of God in the Bible, there were times the person of God in the Bible felt rejected and alone.

Be the one who does not break the bending reed . Be the one that does not put out the flickering flame .but enkindle the hearts of mankind to the Love of God

1 Corinthians 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

The Lord is helping me to see Him working rather than look for any credit or likes to anything I had posted.

This will also be one of the many things I will be thanking he Lord Jesus Christ for in Heaven since no flesh shall glory in His Presence.

1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;
23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

1 Corinthians 1:29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Look to Jesus Christ to do His ministry for why His yoke is easy & His burden is light even there.

1 Corinthians 3:5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

I don't preach things from men like Luther or Calvin, like others here do. In the New Testament times people said they followed Peter or Apollos, etc., and nowadays the people say things like they follow Calvin or Luther, or the Baptists, or the Pentecostals, or the JW's and the Catholics, etc.

I do think though that if I helped someone understand something better, or if I shared something personal, then they should show kindness with a like or a thanks. We are to encourage others for helping them with the Word. Even if I don't agree with everything another says but appreciate them, I want them to know with a like or a thanks. How else are we going to know there are kind people on this site?

Oneness Pentecostals preaches that God is the One God Person and so now that He has given us the Holy Spirit, we are to only relate to God through the Holy Spirit.

They got that teaching from faulty reasoning that to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost meant God is a One Person God because the name is singular but that is just the name of God to call upon to be saved and be marked as His disciple, the One that was sent to earth as the Son of Man to give His life as a ransom for many as that mind of Christ we are to have in worship Philippians 2:5-13 KJV because the Son is the only way to come to God the Father by in worship John 14:6 especially on how to honor the Father by only honoring the Son; John 5:22-23 because the moment they stop honoring the Son, like say honoring the Holy Spirit or Mary, they are no longer honoring the Father.

Hi Brother Gregoryp You could not be more correct in your analysis!! The pressure the World is making on the believer is so great right now, that many who are not so strong in the faith are wavering. This of course was foretold many years ago by our Lord Jesus. (1 Tim 4:1-10) As you know most believers have no idea what Discipleship really is!!(Matt 10:24-42!!) Most do not wish to hear that WE AS BELIEVERS have an obligation to do our part as well!! When I first became a believer all my troubles did not just disappear!

FOLLOWING means a need to learn something and daily at that! In some areas of our lives as believers we did do a lot better while other things take more time, and that is what many believers lack!! TIME. Moses did not come out of the desert overnight!! And I sure did not either!! lol What believers have robbed their own self over is giving that valuable time to Jesus in both prayer and action. (James 1:22) They make excuses, they feel sorry for themselves, and they find as they first enter the race, that the race is far harder than they thought, well it is!!!

If it were not everyone would do it! So, we find those who are on the fence are falling off to one side or the other, Jesus will not have lukewarm believers he identifies with! (Rev 3:15-16) Notice please also Rev 3:21!! How can we ever overcome unless we do something about our own life?? Yes, believing is not Jesus job it is our job, and the sooner we get this into our thick heads the better off we will be!!

This may sound a bit harsh but sometimes truth is not always kind, love also corrects us! So, the only question we have is will we stay corrected and move forward in our Lord Jesus or will we fall by the wayside? (Matt 13:1-9 This parable is explained in Matt 13:18-23) Thanks for the needed reminder brother from the Land down under!!

When I read His words with His help & wisdom, if there is any reproof and call to repentance, I would lean on Him to help me to that. Just citing my hope in Him for all things rather than look to myself in doing anything the best I can.

Of course, we always look to be led by him. But who does it?? WE do. I get Jesus words and living inside of each believer, but in the end, we have to perform the function he instructed us to follow in. We in turn thank him for his wisdom and strength to preform that function. (1 Thess 5:18) So I am with you GodB4Us.

The Pentecostal's are modalists, or otherwise known as Oneness believers.
They believe Jesus is the Holy Spirit and is the Father, and they do not believe the three exist at the same time, they think only one exists, and thus the name Oneness.

Now Jesus is God but unlike what the Pentecostals believe, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit exist at the same time, simultaneously, the three are one and the same one and exist simultaneously.

The Bible says there is one body (that is Jesus' body), one Spirit (that is Jesus' Spirit, the Father, and the Holy Spirit), and one God (the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are the one God revealed to us in three).

The Father is an invisible Spirit without a body and lives in unapproachable light.
The Son is the Father's Spirit without a body and has made the Father known.
The Holy Spirit is the Father and the Son's Spirit and comes forth from the Father without limit.

I like what you said and agree, but have to laugh a little when you said Moses didn't come out of the desert over night.

When believers look to themselves in trying the best they can in keeping their man made commitments or promises to follow Him, that is not the same as ONLY looking to Him by faith to help them to follow Him by His promises ( His word ) to us. It is one or the other. We cannot do both.

You do have the problem of how Jesus had experienced the separation from the Father on the cross when He took our sins upon Himself as paying the ransom for us as the prophesied Son of Man.

And you do have the problem of explaining how God in creation ( Jesus ) made the request to make man in "our image and after our likeness" and yet when it came to performing the task, only God did it. So there are 3 Witnesses within that One Gpdhead for how there is a plurality within the One God for God to be true in His words for He as a One Person God could not judge nor establish a testimony let alone a word of creation in the earth as 2 or 3 witnesses are required of man to establish a testimony as well as being able to judge any ne as His words does forbid any one person or one witness to condemn any one. As God requires of man to do in bearing a true witness, so does God as the Triune God does.

Deuteronomy 17:6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Jesus confirmed this

John 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Look at how John the Baptist had borne witness.

John 3:28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Look at how Jesus even said He cannot bear witness of Himself.

John 5:31 If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

A true witness can only speak of another in seeking the glory of the other. They cannot share in the spotlight at all.

John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

AND Jesus said God requires of 2 witneses for that testimony to be true and so there has to be at least 2 Witnesses within the One God for anything God says to be true.

John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

That is what had happened at Jesus's water baptism when the Father spoke from Heaven regarding His Son for why the added testimony of the Holy Spirit alighting on the Son like a dove to make that testimony true.

Matthew 3:
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus was referring to the prophesy in Isaiah about how the Lord God and His Spirit will send the God our Redeemer.

Isaiah 48:16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

If the Lord has not given you pause by His words alone, then maybe later on, He will. but hopefully before He comes as the Bridegroom at the rapture event to avoid being left behind.

We have to obey God. The scriptures throughout the whole Bible tells us this.
The New Covenant has God telling us what He will do and all He requires from us is to believe Him. So when I see a commandment like love your enemies, I lean on Him to help me to do this. By the grace of God & His help, He leads me to follow Him. That is His glory; not ours since no flesh shall glory in His Presence. Amen.

You do have the problem of how Jesus had experienced the separation from the Father on the cross when He took our sins upon Himself as paying the ransom for us as the prophesied Son of Man.
I have no problem did you ever think that you might be the one with too many problems?

Jesus is God come as a human. He came from heaven and gave up that beauty and power and came to earth as a human and lived as we live to experience life for us and then suffer and die for us.

What don't you get about that?

The BIBLE tells us plainly that there is only ONE SPIRIT, ONE BODY, and ONE GOD.

Do you think about the one spirit that Jesus had as a human was the SPIRIT OF GOD?

Do you get that Jesus' body as a human was GOD'S?

Do you get now that Jesus come as a man is God the Father come as a son in the flesh?

Ephesians 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called;

And you do have the problem of explaining how God in creation ( Jesus ) made the request to make man in "our image and after our likeness" and yet when it came to performing the task, only God did it.
We humans have a body---like God does, as revealed to us by Jesus who came in a body and still has that body made immortal.

We humans have our own spirit within us---Jesus came to earth in the womb of Mary and his body is God's and his spirit within him is God.

We were made in God's image means we have a body like Jesus' who existed with a body in heaven before ever coming to earth, and we have our own spirit within us.
God the Father made Himself a body before He made anything, and then He made everything while in that body, who is Jesus Christ not yet come to the earth and having a human body and dying for us.
The three are God the Father IN HEAVEN, His Spirit sent forth and all around, which is the Holy Spirit, and Jesus who came as a man and died for us.

There are three and the three are one and the same.

THE BIBLE SAYS GOD IS ONE.

Do you really want to keep saying God is three DIFFERENT ONES?
If the Lord has not given you pause by His words alone, then maybe later on, He will. but hopefully before He comes as the Bridegroom at the rapture event to avoid being left behind.
This is for you, GodB4Us.
