Pope Endorses Civil Unions for Same Sex Couples

If a person is taking God's Word as final authority , then we know that one man and one woman are to come together in marriage. .no other combinations that Society comes up with.

The Vatican says transgenders can now be baptized. It also says babies of same sex couples can be baptized. ( of course same sex couples can't make their own babies ).
Now of course this isn't the babies fault. They had nothing to do with it, and that's the point. Infants are incapable of making the choice for salvation, so infant baptisms really don't make sense.

it doesn't really matter What the Vatican says -- it's God's Word and common sense that God gives a person that matters. A transgender person has a soul just like everyone else and needs salvation. But baptism does not save anyone. It IS an outward action that represents the decision that has already been made in our heart.

why would anyone stay in this denomination with this type of support that goes against Gods will?

well it matters in a sense that we can see the deceived people more clearer then ever who stay in this denomination, it matters in a sense that bible prophecy is playing out right before our eyes and few can see it. But I get what your saying for sure.

Staying in a group of people a denomination that supports things that are directly against Gods word, has me wondering,, would God not convict a person to leave this denomination? what does scripture say ? I know for me I was convicted to leave once I learned the word of God. I saw the truth, my heart cries for all the people who are deceived.

Does anyone have any scripture that would support a person to stay in this false religion? I ask for the sake of many I know that will most likely not leave, and just say something along the lines of well I stay for the people, and do not support everything that is said by the pope.

2 Corinthians 6:17

Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you,

Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect

@Dave M -- staying within a denomination when a person knows they are teaching false doctrine might be due to a few things. Maybe a small area where the family has been in that belief system for a long time with family and friends and it would be hard to break away. And maybe after a while those people would see a difference in his life and turn to Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

In one situation the priest came to Christ and began to teach his congregation the truth of God's Word.

And in another situation the husband of a couple had become a believer. My late husband and I had gotten to know then through employment. Invited us over along with the priest for supper and there was some interesting conversation. They had lots of friends there and was a respected person in community and church. Was there to be a positive influence for Christ.

And yes a person would think that there would be conviction from the Holy Spirit to leave and fins a group of believers to fellowship with.

And yes the Vatican has quite a hold on the people.

Seeing prophesying being fulfilled is thought provoking. HE will be coming again very soon to gather up all born-again believers in the sky to meet Him in the air. And be with Him forever. Some events coming up before eternity begins. Like the 1000 yr earthly reign of Jesus Christ.

Jhn 3:18 “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

Jhn 3:19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

Jhn 3:20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.

2Co 11:13 These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ.

2Co 11:14 But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

2Co 11:15 So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

Their is a prophecy that states that the devil himself will be at the head of a significant church...and corrupts it. That is when the end times will begin. It will only get worse. I should state many priests have stated the Vatican has already been taken over so it is only a matter of time.
I am not sure where this is, I just remember being told it by quite a few people.
People will stay as they believe in their true faith, the core of the church as you will. whatever is stated when it is secular...really can just be apposed .Everyone has a mind of their own, they can see it.

@EverlastingWinter. Who has already taken over the Vatican or what group.

And it IS true that mid-way through the 7 yrs tribulation the Great Tribulation will start. The Antichrist will make his appearance. whoever is in power at that time will turn against the people.

2Th 2:3 Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.
2Th 2:4 He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.

would God not convict a person to leave this denomination?

A couple of things...

I think God does convict people to change sometimes. But sometimes people don't want to change. It's the same with sin, there are certain sins.. God is saying you need to stop... but some people don't want to stop.

Rev 2:21; 'I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.

Just because God wants people to change, doesn't mean they always will.

But for staying with a denomination... this has happened to me twice in my life. The first time I was still a child living at home.
My dad was in the military, we were stationed at a navy base on Kodiak Alaska. There were only three Christian churches. A Roman Catholic, a Greek Orthodox ( non English speaking ), and a Pentecostal Oneness ( that doesn't believe in the Trinity or Deity of Jesus )

We went to the Oneness church, not because we didn't believe in the Trinity, but because it was closer to our beliefs than the others. The people were nice enough, and my parents made it clear they weren't going to change their minds on that one issue.
So what do you do? Just not go to church?

The second time I was a drummer in a church band of a very large church ( the congregation was about 11,000 ). The pastor got caught in a sexual scandal, and this split up the church. We didn't even have a real pastor for a while. Some of the associate
pastors, music pastors, and youth pastors stepped in for a few months. It was chaos really. We had Pentecostal teaching, Calvinist teaching, Arminian teaching, modalism,... you name it... Most of the band left to start another church, the pastor was pretty Cavinistic,
in fact he was Calvinistic to the point, that if you sinned, it was God who made you sin. I didn't agree with that teaching either, so then why did I stay at this church? Because it's where all my church-band buddies went. But after a while I did leave.
I had been going there about 7 or 8 months and my future wife asked me.. "do you believe this?", I said no, and she asked, then why do you go to this church? I had to think about that for a while.

Since then, we have been pretty particular about what churches we go to. We might visit with a friend, but we never become regular members if they are too far... "out there".

Is it really midway?

2Thes 2:2; that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.
2Thes 2:3; Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
2Thes 2:4; who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

The "day of the Lord" does not come until after the great apostasy, and the beast is revealed.

A specific group I will not name that complements well with the antichrist values and a one world order. It is not about whoever is in power, its about them infiltrating the church and slowly destroying it. It is not going to be a holy man gone unholy, its about them being raised for this purpose and taking control. I don't look at days, weeks, months or years. When it is time, it is time. That is just the way it is.

Well we Do need to be prepared spiritually -- by believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That Jesus Christ died on the cross for / with our sins. That He was was buried and that He rose again on thr 3rd day. Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Thank Him for His gift of salvation.

Greetings in the Lord
I find it really sad that some, including the Pope condone such acts.

It goes against God's law of creation (male and female); it is sin; it is an abomination to God. It disgust God. Yet, some, want to appease people rather than God.

I'm certain, Christ wouldn't be turning water into wine at such a wedding; rather turning over tables and telling them about their abomination.

God first always.
