The psalmist states his desire
that is to God give praise
but not only this does he speak
as also with a upright heart he says
We would do very well
to follow this self same way
making sure our heart is right
before we praise our God today
To achieve this we must learn
God's judgement of righteousness
so to the divine throne we come
for our minds God would bless
Having received this knowledge from God
we must daily keep this truth in hold
so to give praise with enlightenment
but making sure our hearts not cold
Now having known God's ways
we came giving Him His due praise
having been changed in heart and mind
this is our God for all our days

Just some thoughts on Psalm 119 v. 7 'I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules'.
