Praise God

I just want to post a quick thread that just says "Praise God" He has been so good to me lately revealing to me so many things. I feel like studying his word is unlocking secrets of the universe, and finally I am getting a good idea about what the heart of God is. He has definitely made me work for it in study, but it has paid itself off 1000 times over. I have been studying a particular issue to the extreme for some time now, and I feel like tonight I finally saw what God wanted me to see. I saw his heart on the issue and it was just overpowering.

I was reading in the book of Hosea where Hosea takes a harlot for a wife. She runs around being a harlot and Hosea follows her around, and pays her debts and chastens her as she goes. Finally she is on a selling block naked to be sold into slavery, and he outbids everyone there and takes her back and says to her that she will be faithful to him, and he will be faithful to her. He will be faithful to her... just gosh... I don't even have words to say, that is just so almost crippling it is so profound after what she has done. I literally can not in words express how reading that made me feel, but it silenced me for a while and I couldn't even grasp it without sitting and just dwelling on it.

Anyway I don't want to go off on a rant, I just want to publicly thank God for being who he is and convicting me further and further every day by revealing how perfect he is, and how amazing his ways are. I hope to never question any of his ways again just because I don't understand them. Certainly his ways are right and good no matter my grasp or understanding of them. Thank you God, you are more than worthy of praise.

God is truly amazing!

His love is so deep that our minds can not grasp love so pure and perfect.

To love someone like he loves is beyond us totally! But everyday we are to strive to be more like him. To love a ***** is incomprehensible to us. To love someone who has hurt us or betrayed us or out right flaunted sin like adultery is not easy, but it is exactly what God ask us to do. Without him it is impossible.

Oh but with the Holy Spirit, we can learn to love the unlovely and forgive (and forget) the hurt of the past and move on to love like God loves and that touches the heart of God.

It has been sometime since I have read the book of Hosea. I think it is time to read it again.

That's fine strypes, I believe the word you were trying to use was a lady like Hosea's wife, a woman who either sells her body or is promiscuous, don't worry.
