@Christ Child
"And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept." I Cor 15:17-20
In this natural life alone, we indeed have no real hope, but in Christ we do have Hope... but it is a Hope for when there is no more time. At best our time here is short. My suggestion is to immerse yourself in Him above all else. Find a comfortable place and begin reading the Book of Psalms. At the end of each psalm before starting the next one close your eyes and think about what you read and try to focus on what Jesus did and why he did it:
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10
Then having prayed and thought on those things read the next psalm. Repeat this but always concentrate closely on what you are reading and on the praying between the psalms. When do you stop? You stop ONLY when God has added those things unto you:
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt 6:33
What things? You will know when you begin to receive them..
No bed of roses without lots of thorns this...
