Pray Without Ceasing
Have you spent time in Divine Adoration this week? How about a moment of Soul Surrender? Did you come before God with Earnest Appeal and Personal Supplication? Did you remember to give Him Expressed Appreciation and Divine Magnification? Hey, do you have any idea what I am talking about? I'm talking to you about the lost art of Prayer. It seems for many, prayer has been squeezed out by the busyness of life. But it was Jesus who said, "My house shall be a house of prayer." And, since your body is the temple of God, He wants you to be a person of prayer.
Prayer is one of our divine weapons from God. If only more of us would devote ourselves to intense, focused prayer. God wants the prayers of His saints to rock this world. Prayer is our direct link with the Creator of the Universe! It's communication with the King! I'm reminded how vital prayer is to our spiritual life, and also how expressive it can be. Praise, Confession, Intercession, Petition, Thanksgiving, Singing, Listening, and Meditation are just some of the potential prayer components. Perhaps it's time to strengthen that vertical connection with God? Maybe, just maybe, it's time to have a heart-to-heart chat with your Dad in Heaven? The Bible tells us that we should Ask, Seek, and Knock on heaven's door. Jesus taught us that God loves to hear and answer our prayers.
