Well my son is 6 yrs old in 1st grade
with the help of church he goes to a christian school.
here lately he doesn't want to go to school any more saying the teacher and the kids are calling him stupid and dumb.
the teacher goes to my church and her and her family are pretty big in hte church. I haven't talk to her yet are the school.
I don't know how to ask her about it. i don't think any teacher should say these things to a child. if this is true.and yesterday I found out by this other girl who I take to school that he was in a fight. and no one called are told me about it from the school.I don't know if I should just take him out or have a parent teacher meeting about this. I thought about going to the pastor first and see what he thinks I should do. I'm also afraid that if I do confort the school that I might say the wrong thing because thinking about it gets me so mad. thank you for listening

Hi kristina, first grade is always rough, for any child. The year has just started, remember everything is new to your boy.

Your boy may have had some bad experiences for the first part of the year, but if you give him love and support I'm sure he'll become accustomed to his new environment. Lots of love!

I don't think you need to take your son out of the school, especially if it's a good Christian school. In the long run it will benifit him greatly to learn about God and academics at the same time.

I think your inititial thoughts are all good, you could either speak to the Pastor, teacher or have a teacher parent meeting. It's up to you what you decide, but you can always ask God for guidance.

The fact that your son was in a fight and you didn't hear about it is something of concern, but maybe only the children knew about it?

I will pray for you kristina, just ask the Holy Spirit to lead you.
