Precepts of God

The word “PRECEPT” is made up of two words. The first being, “PRE”, which mean “BEFORE, FIRST”. The second is ”CEPT” which means “SET”. Together they mean something that is, “SET FIRST” before anything else.

The “PRECEPT” laws, and commandments of God were SET FIRST before any laws of man ever came into existence. The “PRECEPTS” of God supersede and make void, and null any laws of man that are contrary to the precept laws of God.

The strength, and authority of any precept comes from the “OFFICE” of the one who gave them. The Lord God is the highest office there is in any time zone, or age, forever!!! Nothing can change his laws.

It makes no difference how many laws man decides to make legal in any country, that are contrary to the precepts of God, make them OK to do!! In fact it is the complete opposite!!

Sin is the transgression of God's law(s) (1 John 3:4)

Man sin's in three different ways.

1. When man DOES what he knows not to do.
2. When man does NOT do what he knows to do.
3. When man agrees it's OK for people to do things he knows are wrong.

Same sex marriages in America or any country is contrary to the precepts of God that were first set before any laws of man ever came into existence. Those who agree that same sex marriages is OK, even though it is the law of the land are just as guilty as those who practice such things, even though they don't!! It's called partaking of other men's sins by agreeing they are OK to do.


Rom 1:32 Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but GIVE APPROVAL TO THOSE WHO PRACTICE THEM.

"Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid. 1Tim 5:22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

Paul tells Timothy not to lay hands haphazardly upon no man, because if you do you will become partakers of that man's sins if you were wrong in your assessment of what they truly believe.
A "violent" man is a man who does not first think through the consequences of there actions, or beliefs before they speak, or do them. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil!!!

Is there not a 4th way to sin? What of the believer who does the wrong thing unknowingly? In the OT under the law God gave to Moses people who sinned in ignorance were required to make atonement for those sins when they became aware of them. Are we better than them to God who is no respector of persons? Have we not received more than OT believers? As a result is not more expected of us per Luke 12:48?

It appears that God only holds man accountable to what he does know, and not what he does not know. Obviously our "conscience" does not know every thing, but what it does know we are to obey. The scripture you quoted said. ".... But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more."

The more we know of God's will, the more we are required to do them. In the New Testament John tells us that if we walk in the light, as he is in the light we have fellowship with one another, and "the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin" Why would we need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all sin if we are walking in all the knowledge (light) we have? Because sometimes we sin not knowing it. This is what I believe.

Perhaps admitting that we do not know everything is a necessary thing. Otherwise things held as truth, in which we are likely in part in error as God sees it, must be included in our admission until God has been allowed to correct us. God must be allowed by us to make the correction because He gave us the dominion or the choice to do it His Way or our own way. Only God can correct our errors, but only we can choose to allow Him to correct our errors by surrendering completely and continuously to His will. We cannot, however, even completely surrender without His help...

We really must live by faith rather than by facts, for only God knows all of the facts. Some of us probably know some of the facts according to what God has shared with us but how much do we know as opposed to only believing by faith? Only God knows.

What is it that every believer in God and His Son really has? He has at the least, faith, and mixed with that faith is some knowledge of the facts, but likely he does not always know the difference and tends to treat them all the same [that is the parts held in faith and the parts known]. For this reason, we must learn to trust God completely for only when He is leading us will we always be able to see our correct next step in order to take it.
