Pride goes before destruction

Pride goes before destruction,
a haughty spirit before a fall.
Better to be lowly in spirit and

and Prince of Peace.

His power will never end;

As soon as I think, things are going well and I then start to get too proud, only to yet plunder again.

Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

I am trying to be more like this, to be humble, so God can uplift me, at the proper and appropriate time.

Humble thyself and the Lord will draw near thee. Humble thyself and His blessing will cheer thee. He walketh not with the proud and the scornful.
