I lived in Washington 10 out of the last 25 years. In the Seattle area for over 17 years.
I now live very close to Portland, it's probably worse than Seattle as far as violence and rioters right now.

I recently went on a long vacation. I visited 7 states. I didn't see any rioters, or even protesters until I got back "home".
I've talked to some of these Antifa, no doubt some of them are doing this for the thrill, or simply to have a purpose in their lives.
But some of them truly believe in their hearts they are "doing the right thing". Some of these people even claim to be Christians.

Depending on which News channel you watch, some are saying it's quiet, peaceful protests and the police and federal agents are "over-reaching" their authority.
But if you really live here and see with your own eyes what is going on, it's anything but peaceful. Buildings are on fire, cars are attacked, people are being beat-up and attacked with clubs.
Roads and highways are being blocked off. Windows broken, businesses looted, and entire city blocks are trashed. I truly have to wonder at how some of these News agencies can
even pretend any of this is remotely peaceful.

Do a google search for "Portland riots images". It's just a war here, literally. Many people fear for their lives. I'm not afraid, but there are areas of town I am avoiding for now.

I can't help but feel this is a little like "Pandora's Box". You can't just open the lid a little and let one of two "little evils" out and hope to control it.

A time is coming... I feel very soon, when you won't be able to buy or sell unless you have "the mark".

Rev 13:17; and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.

Already many businesses here have signs, no mask.. no service. No credit cards... no service. Most won't take cash anymore.
Some national chain stores have made it their policy not to accept cash.
We are being "trained" and conditioned to accept whatever rules the government puts in place. Don't question it, even if it doesn't make sense... just do it.

yeap so what does that look like for someone who is not going to take the mark, are we going to willingly give up our nice houses and back accounts and go live on the streets or the woods and trust in God for food as long as we can, will we consider it a joy to be persucated for God?? Will we preach the Gospel at the top of our lungs?? are we now surronding ourselfs with people who makes us stronger in Christ to prepare for whats comming??

Through the lense of "Holy Scripture" I see this as the hands of "Almighty GOD" at work! That is why I chose the title, It is liken to a "Bibical Motif" from the Book of Ezekiel! A prime Synoptic. Because we all know who Rules this world! The whole system, "lean not upon your own understanding, trust what the word of God says" we walk not by sight! But by Faith [trust] in His Word! And not a imitation faith that really is "vain hope"! "the world is evil". All of it! The world does not know what is happening we do! There is nothing loveable in it for us! Whosoever loves this world and the things that are it, "is a enemy of God" plainly said, plainly understood, you do not need a interpreter.
The world is the world, let the world defend it's self. It loves it's own, and they will fight for their own, they are willing to die for their faith which is this world! Most Christians Do not feel that way about their faith. But Jesus said, this will happen, Christians falling away, but the faithful will be few, for many love this present world. So let us run our race with patience. Let us keep a close watch on the Themometer. His arrival is eminent!

We DO need to be around believers now more than ever For encouragement. And we Do need to be aware of what God's Word does say. There is such a variety in living conditions in This country -- well -- always Has been. There have been up-risings in various parts of the country and it's more intense Now because of the up-coming election.

born again believers living Now aren't going to be around here when that is happening. There are going to be lots left here who Will accept Christ as they get older.

Some comments have been made about developing into a money-less society. Well -- so far -- I still use real money and get change back. I also use checks and I used my credit card once.

Some of this depends on where a person lives and what stores they shop at. I only go to Walmart. And some Won't go to Walmart, but to HEB right across the street.

My brother and his wife live in the Seattle area still.
