Should I prune members who are inactive and the below that apply to them or not?

- not logged into the account for 90 days or more
- have 0 posts made

Literally, these accounts are dead or just inactive for 90+ days.

Should I or should I not prune the database?

If I do prune them, that means nearly 1,800 members gone

Its done deal. 1727 members pruned

I deleted all accounts that

- have not logged in at least 1 time 90 days or longer
- have at least a single (1) post


Now its more personal, smaller, closer to the active group of members.

If it was me, I would only look at ones that have been inactive for a year.

If it was me, I would only look at ones that have been inactive for a year so if there were extenuating circumstances, they could all ways sign up again.It Might also be a good idea to Post this Yearly Pruning notice for even newcomers to see. This pruning is based on Fruit bearing principles, I believe, right?

well? . . . are they able to register again. . . if they wanted to come back?. .. if so. . .its ok to prune them.. .im sure you found something better in 90 days if you dont return. . .sooo. .. I would wanna be pruned. . .one thing less for me to worry about . . .and get info/news . .. and bla bla i might not want anyway . . .so depends!

60 or 90 days may be fine but alot of poeple can not be on constantly that still enjoy TJ in their spare time ( spare time?? whats that? lol ) One month is a short time in my opinion with such busy schedules. I tried to tell a few to be sure to sign in in 90 days .but I guess its too late for the ones i didnt get to tell one month and I cant contact now. I hope they dont think they did something wrong and not come back.

No what I meant was I would prune the board on a monthly basis, but not if they did not login for a month. I would prune the based on the same factors I mentioned in my first post

Sorry Chad -
I minunderstood . It was just that I was concerned that some are active in chat who fellowship, pray. encourage etc but dont post. Others do so by Private message, which I really like, and e mails.Then there are those that only post but said they dont go to chat.

When I first came I never posted . I wanted to chat . Remember Chad when I met you in the chat room you were the only one there ? And it took me a month to find anyone in there because hardly anyone ever came at that time! LOL Big change now! People wanted me to post but I didnt at that time . I was gone awhile, then I came back . Now no one can shut me up in chat or posting! [Unless you really want to, Chad :wink: -LOL -just kidding)

I think Chad means:

he pruned now . ..for dead members who havent logged in or/and didnt post for 3 month or longer. . .

Now he will do this check up monthly. .. kiinda like inspection . ..but only for members who havent logged in for 90 days or longer and still dont have 1 post written. . .

Monthly checkup for dead members . . .thats all . . .more a tech thing than a personal cut. . .

The person must have logged in at least one time since the last 90 days. That's all.

No, I just pruned thoese that have not signed in the last 90 days at least once AND have 0 posts. If they have at least 1 post they will never be pruned.

I am just a little confused as to why it is so important to post on the forum...I for one have very little bible knowledge, and would be ridiculous for me to try and post anything biblical...especiallly to all of you who seem to be so well versed in the bible. I find it hard to try and come up with just little stupid stuff just so I can have the right ammounts of posts so I can chat...sometimes a closed mouth makes for better listening..and listening and learning is what I want to do.
