Genesis 1:11,12 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:26-28 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
There is a principle here, God said, "Be Fruitful' and fruitful is translated-bring forth, grow, increase. He's not just talking about having a lot of babies, that's just on a flesh level, but it's something deeper. Man is also spirit so it's also on a spiritual level. Now, what is man going to bring forth. This is the basis of what Jesus taught in Mark chapter 4:1-8 And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. 2 And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, 3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: 4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. 5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. 8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. Now, notice what this sower is sowing and where it's being sown in verses 14,15 The sower soweth the word. 15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. So, this sower is sowing words and the ground that it's sown into is the heart of man(it's not talking about your blood pump). Notice, in verse 8 it says some seed fell on good ground and did yield fruit, another word for fruit is manifestation. It's when the word becomes seen in your life.
And that's what God wants, He wants his word evident/seen in your life. That's what seed is for, every seed is the product of a finished work of God (Gen. 1:11.12). And the seed is a means of man receiving what God has already done. And Hebrews 4:3 says, For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Seed is for man not God. Seed is for man to receive something not for God to do something. Notice, in Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Notice, I have given you, in other words Adam it's in your hands now. God put the responsibility in mans hands. Notice something, from that point on Adam didn't need God to make anymore trees, why because God turned the part his word played over to the seed. The seed now has the same role(power/ability) as God's word. Now, I see what Paul meant in Romans 10:6-8 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. The word/the seed will do the work so Jesus doesn't have to come back. I don't need God to say, Let there be roses in my back yard, if I want roses then I plant the seed. Now, what God does is He works through the seed. 1 Corinthians 3:6,7 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. So hearing is planting and watering and the word that is planted and watered God gives the increase to, not the word that is just planted. Roman 10:17 Faith comes by hearing, that's continuous that's by planting and watering. Some people say "Oh I heard that before, good, keep on hearing and hearing. Notice, how God says the word manifests Titus 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching. Preaching is both planting and watering. To preach simply means to proclaim, to speak forth. And the word is not just the seed, but it's also the water Isaiah 55:10,11 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. He sends the word to be planted in you.
And it's the preahing of the word that will bring salvation and not just spirit salvation, but also salvation for your soul and body. James 1:21 says, Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. The word engrafted is translated implanted, so we're back at the word as seed. It's the word you plant in you that will do the work for you. And you see that when it comes to the salvation of your body which is healing in Proverbs 4:20-23 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. All that is instructing you to plant and water the seed of his word. Notice, it says his word is life and health. That word life means alive and it comes from a word that means to nourish up, quicken, recover, repair, restore to life, revive. You see that in the case of Abraham and his wife Sarah, before God changed their names their names were Abram an Sarai. Abram means high father and Sarai means my princess. God told Abram in Genesis 17:5,6: 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And in Genesis 17:15 God told him And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. Now, understand what's happening in Roman 4:19 it says, And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb. So, when God told Abram that He had made him a father of many nations and that He would make him exceeding fruitful his body was dead and his wife's womb was dead. So, what did God do He changed their names from Abram to Abraham-father of a great multitude and from Sarai to Sarah-Princess of the multitude. He changed their names in line with what He said, what He did is give them seed to plant and water that would bring forth that fruit/manifestation. Notice, God did the work first because He told Abram that He had made him a father of many nations. Remember, every seed is the product of a finished work of God. If the work is not finished you can't have the seed. And the finished work is in the seed. The seed was for them to receive something not for God to do something.
In the natural a seed is the substance of the thing you want. In the spirit a seed is the substance of the thing you want. Hebrews 11:1 says, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. And in Romans 10:8 it says, But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. Notice, the word of faith so faith and the word are one that's why Galatians 3:5 says, He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? So, when you are hearing the word of God you are hearing the faith of God so the word and faith are one. And it's that faith that is the substance of the thing you want. Notice, Roman 4:20 He(Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Now, where did the faith come from, it came from the word God gave them, their names. Because, they did not believe before God changed their names Genesis 17:17 says, Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? And Sarah herself laughed Genesis 18:9-14 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. 10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. 11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. 12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? So, neither one of them believed at first, but it was the word they put in them that brought the faith that did the work for them.
Like, the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34: And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. In verse 28 when it says she said in the amplified version it says for she kept saying. Notice, in verse 32 Jesus turned around to see her that had done this thing so she did something that caused that manifestation, so what did she do. The first thing she did was she heard and what comes by hearing, faith. The second thing she did was she said or she kept saying, now she's releasing what has been deposited or planted. The third thing she did was act on the word and when her faith, words, and actions lined up Jesus said, "Your faith has made you whole." You see what she did in Luke 6:45 when Jesus said, A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. So, what thing did she do she brought the word she had on the inside to the outside into manifestation. She was fruitful, she brought that thing forth. Remember every seed is the product of a finished work of God, so what finished work of God did she bring forth Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings. So, she knew he had healing or (anointing) in his garment.
Jesus said something in Mark 4:23,24 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. You see the same warning in Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. You have to screen what you continually look at and listen to because you are operating in a process that is designed to bring what is on the inside of you to the outside of you into manifestation. In the natural nobody doudts that if they put a seed in the ground and water it and tend to it at some point they are going to have outside what was planted inside. That is a process of nature Leviticus 26:4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Well, God put increase in you. Now, I better understand why God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. In Psalm 1:1-3 it says, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. You see Jesus in Luke 4:42,43 Now when it was day, He departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowd sought Him and came to Him, and tried to keep Him from leaving them; 43 but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.” He was sent to preach the kingdom of God, so what did he preach Luke 17:20,21: Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, [a]‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
What else did he preach: Mark 4:26-28 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; 27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. 28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. Why does the earth bring forth fruit of itself, because God commanded it to. And He also commanded man "Be Fruitful" meaning "Bring Forth". So, understand what God has done, in what ever area you need the power of God to work in your life plant and water the seed of his word. Romans 1:16 says, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. So, if you want to see something you are going to have to say something. I'm waiting on The Lord, well The Lord is waiting on you to say something. It might not feel like something is happening, it might not look like something is happening, but keep speaking. Don't let that word depart out of your mouth. Hold fast to your confession of faith. Notice, what God had Abraham and his wife Sarah to do, call themselves in line with what God promised even though they were in opposite conditions in the physical. So, when I speak God's word when my circumstances are in opposite conditions I'm not denying the circumstances I'm just planting and watering new seed. Because, you can't get different fruit if you are sowing the same seeds. So, the more you speak the problems then the more of the problems you get. Notice, what it says in Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. The word(which is seed) is able to give you an inheritance, that's why he said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God." You can't operate The Kingdom Of God system without seed. So, the more grace I speak the more grace I'll see evident in my life. God put increase in you just like in the earth, but that increase needs seed (the word). So, stay a speaker of the word and as Paul said in Romans 10:8 The word is nigh you even in thy mouth and in thy heart. The word is seed and your heart is the soil, you put the ability of the seed to work.
It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
