If you are married in the eyes of God and man, I don't see why you can't. In the Bible there were times when there was no ceremony and yet the couple was married.

If I understand the traditional Marriage in Nigeria .....No you cannot.
Does it not have introduction, payment of Dowry, and engagement, is this not the traditional part?? The real wedding and or white wedding is the actual marriage ceremony. ????
One should follow the simple rule of God and we are also to follow the laws of society in whichever society we happen to live in, cultures and so on , so to revolt against those can cause problems.
I would say if married by a priest, preacher, minister, before God, sure all is cool, but if I understand the traditional marriage, no you cannot as the actual wedding has not yet taken place.
So more information is required....answer can be No, or Yes.
