Question about Impartation experience

Hello, I have an odd question.:embarasse

About six months ago I went to visit an acquaintance's church event. It was called: Miracle Healing Weekend. I was very sketchy of it at first, but for some reason I decided to go. I didn't come there with any illness or injury, so I didn't expect to participate.

The speaker/"healer was the father of Todd Bently (the "evangelist" who is now called a fraud and an occultist) and he was just here for a visit.
Around the end (nearly a 4 hour service) Mr. Bently requested that each of us come up row by row for an impartation. (laying of hands)
I had only received a couple impartations in my life so I wasn't really too concerned... But I felt so strange afterwards. I fell to the ground in a strange sort of trance, and felt like something happened but I wasn't sure what.

I got up a few min later and walked back to the pew. I sat down and tried to shake off the trance-like feeling but it would not go away. It was a cold night, so I figured I would walk home and see if I would feel any better. Even the cold wouldn't make me feel more "awake" and alert. So I decided I should pray. But I couldn't. I felt this really odd mental block that I don't think I've ever felt before. It was horrible!
For the next couple weeks I was struggling really hard to pray and I felt like I gradually got the ability back.

So my Question is: What do you think about Impartations from strangers? and is it possible to impart something bad/evil unto someone? (considering Mr. Bently is rumored to be in the occult like his son)

Thanks in advance

When we as Christians come across something we don't understand, we need to go back to what we do understand.

Where in the Bible did we ever see Christians falling to the ground, and not being able to pray?
Not even during Pentecost.
I don't believe the Holy Spirit works that way, because the Bible says he is not the author of confusion.

I also don't believe Satan can reside in a true believer, so know if you are born again, you don't have to worry there, but I would stay away from false teachers, and phony experiences.
If they don't line up with Gods word, reject them. run the other way.

I don't know this person, but he would be suspect to me.

Yeah, its definitely not in the Bible. And it was definitely a mistake going there to begin with. I never suspected possession or anything like that, maybe more like a bondage or something. All I do know is that it was odd and uncomfortable. And it makes me not want to get prayed for or have people lay hands on me in prayer anytime in the near future!
(and as for the falling on the ground part, it was out of nerves not anything supernatural)

Praise God, I'm glad you are not concerned to the point of being troubled.
When God is for you, who then can be against you....Right?

There are so many churches that are going the way of the world, one has to be careful.
If your in a solid, Bible teaching church, you don't have to be concerned about asking for prayer, and being anointed with oil, God has said for us to. Just when they go beyond Gods word be cautious.

Any of our experiences need to be lined up with scripture, for Satan is a counterfeiter, and will lead people into error.
Bless your heart Keep seeking his face. He loves you!
