Question on "That's my king"

"That's my King" by S.M. Lockridge is SO powerful!!! I can't stop listening to it until I can squeeze every drop of juice out of it!!

Now I do have a question about it. When he mentioned that "The witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree" (Where he described Pilot couldn't find any fault in Him... Herod couldn't kill Him...etc), what does he mean by that?

Witness, to me always applies to Christ's witness, and it always associate with agreement to me. So I'm a little confused what was he referring to.

The Old Testament Law had a mandatory condition for condemning a person:

Deuteronomy 17:6 "Whoever is deserving of death shall be put to death on the testimony of two or three witnesses; he shall not be put to death on the testimony of one witness.
Deuteronomy 19:15 "One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established."

In the trials of Jesus by various forums, even through use of false witnesses they could not find two witnesses whose witness could be considered matching enough to hold it against Jesus. So on their own, they could not pronounce him guilty.

Mark 14:55-59 Now the chief priests and all the council sought testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none. For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree. Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying, "We heard Him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.'" But not even then did their testimony agree.
