Quoting scripture without context.

Why is it that some people simply quote a scripture without inputting what they are taking from that scripture and how they seeing it in the context it is given.

Sorry. I'm not saying that everyone is totally ignorant of anything surrounding the scriptures they quote, but what I am saying that discussion is based on your own, educated or not, opinion on how these scriptures fit into the subject.

Are you referring to a specific thread or person?
(I am not suggesting that you should identify an individual openly on this thread)

There are a number of ways you could deal with this

You could politely ask the person on the thread to expand and explain more clearly on what scriptures they have posted

You could pm the person and gently explain the difficulties you are having

Or if needed you could explain the problem in more detail to any of the moderators who could help you with dealing with any identified issue

This is an ongoing thing that I've noticed about several Christian and conservative forums. I'm sorry and I apologize profusely to anyone here who think I'm pointing fingers, but I look at The Bible is both a shield and a weapon against the world and the major complaint about people of righteousness is that they are mindless drooling morons that repeatedly spewing out hatred and Bible verses like parrots and I know that's not the case.

its a common issue problem peoply mor times than not act off what thy think before seeking true, so its easy to taken biblical true and apply them out of context, hears an exsamply I hav a sizury disorder, t in matt wear the man son is torment by demon the demon uses sizury as the mines of torment but it dosent say sizurys are the demon, l taken out context truthy is now a lie , the lie is now assumed the true.

This may be true - but - what I see MOST is people taking bits and pieces of scripture and making it sound as if it backs their personal belief. They rape the written word of God and expect every one to be corrected.

One of the problems that cause people to do this other then Lack of Spiritual Understanding is -
The written word of God was NOT written in Chapter and Verse. There are many places in our bibles where they have started a new chapter and made it as a new topic and In All Truth the Author was still talking on what they now place in the chapter before.

This causes people to not rightly divide the scriptures and learn fully what the author is saying unto us.
SO with that said - Patience is going to be a key issue as well as WALKING IN LOVE towards those who do this.

I am learning that you can question some one in love about what they mean and they will explain and you can most of the time settle it and begin a new friendship - HOWEVER - there are those in here who for no better explanation - simply are ignorant of Gods word and tend to Cause Strife in every thread they enter. These people twist not only Gods written word but every one elses as well.

With these people we still have to walk in love but they will make it very hard to do so but we still can.
If we stick to Gods written word and walking in Love - THEN - these type of people begin to allow every one for the most part to see the true light they walk in. ( or lack of )

There are a few that I would rather stay away from and not ever reply to - BUT - my love for Gods word and for People tend to get in the way of this. I will not stand by and watch as some one speak words opposed to Gods written word and snooker the babes and less educated in Gods written word. I see it alot. A Member speaking dung as Gods word and using all these fancy human reasonings and new babes and less educated in Gods word - praising them and thanking them and THUS making their start in their walk in Christ a bad one.

Any way that is what I see.
