Have you heard the line "Religion is the cause of all wars".
A fellow at work stated this proposition, quite loudly at me.
I asked him if he had any idea about what he was saying.
The two biggest wars in history had nothing to do with religion.
The First World War and the Second World War.
If you study the causes of both wars, there is no mention of religion.
I could also name many other wars in the twentieth century. Korean war, Vietnam war, etc.
He was very quite after that.
It was not his fault, he had been told that by someone else.
Does anyone know where these strange statements originate from?
