2 cor 5:18-19 What I am finding out in my own life,is this that this does not take place just once in our life. But rather many times through our own life! A dear older woman in the Lord had 3 sons, they all went to fight in Iraq. Two of them has passed away there. I was asked by a brother if I could help her through such a sorrow. I prayed and thought, and prayed and thought some more on this! I wish I could speak these next words out loud to you all!! They mean so much more when you hear them,so please forgive me,this is the very best I can do. Here is a letter once written to a Mrs. Bixsby she lived in Iowa.Executive Mansion, Washington Nov 21,1864

Dear Madam, I have been shown in the files of the War department a statment of the adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless this must be. Any Word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you to Consolation, that may be found in the thanks of the republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the alter of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely, and respectfully A. Lincoln.

I sent her this in love. There are no words one can convey to another who has had such a terrific loss! To reconcile to God,is not always easy!! In fact for many, it may be the most difficult thing they have ever had to ever do!! Why? How could this happen to me?? All these questions come to the forefront of ones life, many more times then we would ever wish them to!

Many never get there faith tested in such a severe way,but some do! Jesus loves you,is easy to say in words, but to show this love is only as easy as we allow Jesus in us,to take full control of our lives. The lady who received this,is doing better, I am thankful to say,not great, but better.

The question to you all today is as for me,is it time to reconcile ourselves back to the Lord? A time to measure ourselves, examine ourselves( 2 Cor 13:5) What have we lost,as opposed to what we have gained in Christ! Some have lost so much! Let us be thankful for what, and who we have still in our lives, let us stay thankful,so we in Christ can love in deeds as well as in words to one another. Let us once again become reconciled to our Lord!! Blessing all!!
