Kamela Harris is running for president of the U.S. She is pushing for reparations for black people in the U.S. Do you think she will get the black vote?

Likely all races will vote for her. As all races voted for Trump.
One thing she has against her as far as the black vote goes and "black reparations" is the fact she isn't really black, she is Jamaican,
According to snopes ( which is liberal biased and run independently, not by any reputable organization ) she is descendant of slave owner herself. (Hamilton Brown)
There has been a lot of debate over whether she is "black enough" to get the black vote.

That you can find some of all races voting for her was not the question. She is offering 'reparations' to the black people. Do you think she will get the black vote.? You seem to act like the offer of money to blacks is really insignificant.

It has just been recently reported that Jilian Graham, a biracial rap artist, was scheduled to perform in Detroit at a rap concert. That is Detroit where blacks rule. Where you can buy a house for a hundred dollars. She learned later that whites were being charged double the price for admission than the people of color. And, good for her, she cancelled. Money. What is good for me? Kamala Harris knows how blacks will react. It is the old '40 acres and a mule'. Look it up.

Kamala Harris is not the only Democrat contender talking about reparations for the descendants of slaves, so I guess it wouldn't be a decisive single issue. And, from what I hear, the idea us not popular among white voters.

The closest Biblical principle I can think of is in the Jubilee laws. But how to translate them from an ancient culture to a western capitalist context, I don't know.

I see no comparison with the year of Jubilee and reparations. By the time of Jubilee the value of the slave was 0.

She will no doubt get "some" of the black vote, so what. The african americans have voted mostly democratic for a long time, believing the lies they were told by the democrats, but they have been turning away more recently, after seeing more change for the good under Trump for african americans. There is little you can do about it, but pray that God give all voters wisdom, and indeed all of us that seek Him.

Southern whites voted democratic most of the time. In fact, the South was solid democrat....until the party changed. Blacks are still solid democrat. Why? Cause that is where their bread is buttered.

So, are you saying that the majority of blacks will not vote for Kamela Harris? Are you saying the promise of 'reparations' doesn't ring of buying the black vote?

If it comes down to Kamela Harris and Trump....who gets the black vote? Oh....I see. You're saying they are only voting because the candidate is democrat. Not because she is black with the candy held out.

And OJ was acquitted because blacks were impartial? Just ask Johnie Cochran. He knew better.

You're looking at the issue only as an election bribe -- candy held out. The argument being made for looking again at reparations is framed in terms of justice.

Of course I am. Because that is what it is.

Justice? Stealing from other people to give you money is justice?

Why doesn't Kamala Harris offer reparations for the American Indian whose home and life were devastated? For the American white Southernor whose homes were destroyed and people murdered? For the Japenese who were placed in camps during WWII?

The racial bribe may be 'framed' in terms of justice, but it is a bribe nonetheless. She doesn't need it if she ran against Trump only. The black vote would naturally go to her due to race alone. She does believe she needs it to win the democratic election however.

Addressing a deep and enduring injustice is not stealing. And, as I mentioned earlier, many of the Democrat contenders are talking in a similar way.

As I mentioned earlier, read again post [HASH=1775]#(9[/HASH]). You can frame it in terms of 'justice' all you like. It is still stealing from others.

Its not justice, but our much of our government is based on stealing our assets through; our payroll taxes, property taxes, death taxes, gas tax, luxury tax, and many more taxes, land confiscation through eminent domain, not paying taxes, death without a proper will to who gets it. Our government is all about stealing as much as possible from its people. Originally, it was to just pay for the common defense and certain positions like judges and a few more. But like a like a snake, the more it eats, the bigger it gets, and the more it wants. They dont even see the money they collect from us as our money for them to use responsibly for governence, but as their money to use in bribes and power garnering and media manipulation.

Hello Brothers in Christ,
I believe the above statement is about the best we look for in this thread and because it's bound to create dissension instead of a coming to a consensus, I'm closing it.
If you can reason to me why it should be reopened, then please send me a PM, and I'll consider any points brought forward for reopening it.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
