Rock Music and 666

Here is some pictures that show Rock music promoting the number 666.

ROCK MUSIC & 666

Hey Cody,

I have seen this before in google. But I didn't feel like posting it. It is not surprising to me though. Thank you so much for posting this.

But what I can't believe is, just look at the way they are willfully taking the number 666 for granted.

God bless you.

Much of it is a show of rebellion against the Establishment. A bad attitude enforced by cheap drugs will do that.

Cheers,
John

Lol....Indeed these are the end times.

These shows how much we must urgently and persistant with on prayers and stand the more on the word of God.

Lets watch and pray as the bible commands.

As a Christian I am against the number 666 because it is the number of the Antichrist. If there is any rock bands who sing about the stuff of the Antichrist please tell so that I can know if they need prayers for their salvation. I have praying many times for the salvation of Eminem and many people who dont know Jesus Christ. I dont like any wrong music like Eminem, Britney Spears, Slipknot, 50 Cent or ACDC.

this was a great post. i fear that there are many Christians out there that are not aware of the satanic influence in modern and classic rock. anyone who is interested in this topic should watch Hells Bells 1 and 2. it is made by the Apologetics Group and gives a very detailed history and background on the influences of rock

I am a strong fan of rock music and I can tell you this with all experience that not all rock music is satanic. .as a matter of fact, very few are and those that are are easily identifiable. .

Led Zeppelin, Ozzy osbourne and the likes...you can basically tell this from the musical tune, at times, from the wordings of the song. .There is something we call demonic tunes and even tunes capable of summoning demons. .Theres a site, i wouldnt want you going into that, leave the devil to be but continue in fellowship my brothers and sisters. .

For all lovers of rock music, like i said, it is quite easy to identify and differentiate those songs that are demonic from the ordinary ones meant for entertainment. .Rock is not wrong, some perpetrators of it are. .

God Bless. .

To say all rock is satanic because of a few is like saying a few chilly folks make everyone an Eskimo.

I Believe in Good Music

I believe as you Boanerges. I am a music lover and do not like "metal bands" and most of these bands are such. Marylin Manson is something else...the Greatness of God, of Jesus Christ..will never be outdone by Satan. Why do people choose evil?

No offense guys, but of all kinds of music, rock n' roll have the most tainted image. And by the way i listen to all the artist in picture except for Britney Spears and Marylin Manson.

And we should clarify and rationlize things, just because a rock band have written a song about demons, violence and all that it doesn't mean they are promoting it. they are just telling their not so good experience in life and its human nature.

I know there are bands with satanic messages, like Marylin Manson and many Death and Black Metal bands.

And instead of bashing rock music, what about rap, rnb and pop? if you take a closer look, they are the one ( mostly) who truly promotes the lifestyle that Satan wants people to live! i am sure rap, hip hop and rnb and pop music don't sound satanic but think Again, the Devil is very deceiving, and he is using those " radio friendly" tunes to take clutch on people.

I have many proof for this, compare the lyrics of Britney Spears, Snoop Dog, and Soulja Boy to the lyrics of Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses and Megadeth and you will see which one is promoting bad behavior.

well , I know a good christian rock band , and all there songs are about the lord. the band is call Still Remains. (if you don't know who they are then type them in google) I hope this will be some use to you :)

Very interesting link Cody.

I was in heavy metal rock band back in the 80's. Although i believed in Jesus i sure wasn't a follower of Him back then. I do agree that all rock isn't evil but it can be a stepping stone into it, without you even knowing it.

When i got saved in 1992, i quit listening to secular music, the Holy Spirit took over and for about 6 or 7 years i was ONFIRE for the Lord. I was seeing all kinds of supernatural things, God was really working in my life.

Then.....i let my old music back into my life. For the next 6 years or so my life started going down hill. I could not figure out why, i prayed and prayed till i couldn't pray anymore. I had built my music collection back up to about 2,000 cd's over this period.

Life got really rough!!!

I met an angel online back in 2006 that shared with me a file called "They Sold Their Souls For Rock N' Roll" its a 4 part documentary about rock music. After watching this, i quit listening to secular music again and INSTANTLY my spirit came back. I've been onfire again for 3 years. Coincidence? Doubtful. Like i said all rock music isn't evil but it is a gateway to it. Its just best to not to be tempted, for me at least.

That 4 part series is on google video, the last i knew. Its 4 one hour parts. Its very good.

Take care and God bless, thanks for starting this thread.
Rudi

ps.....God is sooooooo good that he gave me all kinds of excellent christian rock bands to listen too instead.

Thank you Cody for posting - I had no idea! As I looked at the pictures, my heart just dropped. I feel great sorrow for the young people today and all the satanic influence and the upside down world. Great sorrow.

*Sigh*

You can't rip on an entire branch of music like that. I personally love rock and roll (Maiden, Ac/dc, Some Metallica, Judas priest, Ozzy, Zepplin) and am still a Christian. Is there something wrong with that?

As soon as I saw the title, I knew you would bring up the old Iron Maiden song "The Number of the Beast." You, as non-Iron Maiden fans, are jumping to conclusions. The song is meant as a story, told in first person, about the end times, not a message to influence you to worship Satan.

More songs by Iron Maiden

-For the Greater good of God (2006)- Anti-religious hatred message, anti war message, meaningful lyrics.

-Longest Day (2006)- Song against unethical treatment of soldiers, describing how the leaders simply send soldiers to be killed. They are speaking out AGAINST it. Again, anti-war, positive message.

Holy Smoke (1990s?)- Song against religious scandals.

Does anyone who wants to condemn rock music look at the whole picture? Nope, they just see one of their album covers and deem them Satanic.

As for the Slipknow picture... Slipknot is not rock, they're crap. Any TRUE rocker would know that. That's modern screamo or something, not rock and roll.

The bottom line is, you can't jump to conclusions like that. I think (just my personal opinon) that some people get all caught up trying to act "holier than thou" and no longer look at the whole picture.

Just cause I'm a Chrisitan, does that me I have to listen to Casting Crowns or whatver whenever I listen to music? No.

This, again, is just my opinion, as a long-time rock fan, providing a perspective you all have missed. Feel free to respond, I'm open to your point of view as well. I don't want anything I do to jeopardize my salvation, but I truly don't believe Iron Maiden, or any other "rock" band, is causing me to sin.

How does one justify anything? Music is an entertainment medium. Face it, many of the bands mentioned are about rebellion. That isn't to say the theme of all of their songs is about rebellion, illicit sex, illegal drugs, or whatever. I took a percussion track from a song titled Diggin' the Grave by Faith No More and applied it to a gospel song. It matched quite well. In the end, who I am entertaining - God, or me?

As for the theme of 666 displayed in many of the pictures, none of these people seriously believe in it. If these people did, they would know very well that their endorsement would be spiritual suicide. Have they made the personal decision to forever cut themselves off from God?
