The Below Info. does have quite a bit to do with your Salvation, If Interested! , for the Sabbaths with the Feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be Holy Convocations, ....... Lev. 23:1-37, 38-44. , Matt.26:2, Acts 2:1, etc.
THE DEFINITION OF THE OMER AND HOW TO COUNT IT! , after the barley in Israel reaches the stage in its ripeness called Abib, for the Sacred Calendar Sequence of Sabbaths/Feasts/ or Holy Convocations ....... Lev. 23: 4-16 ....... Passover ....... Unleavened Bread ....... Barley/Firstfruits/Wave Sheaf offering, unto Pentecost, unto The Eigth Day ....... Lev. 23:1-39-44.
The "OMER" is the "WAVE SHEAF" of BARLEY which is cut down and offered to Almighty God at the beginning of barley harvest, the day following the Passover holy day, Nisan 15. It was to be waved by the high priest before God on Nisan 16, the day barley harvest was to begin. . IT IS A MEASUREMENT OF BARLEY consisting of about 5.1 pints of grain.
We believe in as far as The Counting of The Omer, one must realize of the context of any given issue or matter concerning its definitions, and then! placing it in its proper place or order, that is! if you will or not, if you are interested in the love of the truth of GOD and his precious dear Son our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazareth of course! , But if you are not interested, but there again! , we are still in study with:
The Biblical year begins with the first New Moon after the barley in Israel reaches the stage in its ripeness called Abib. The period between one year and the next is either 12 or 13 lunar months. Because of this, it is important to check the state of the Barley crops at the end of the 12th month. If the barley is Abib at this time, then the following New Moon is Hodesh Ha-Aviv ("New Moon of the Abib"). If the barley is still immature, we must wait another month and then check the barley again at the end of the 13th month.
Lev. 23: 4-16 ....... Passover ....... Unleavened Bread ....... Barley/Firstfruits/Wave Sheaf offering. ....... These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations/A Gathering for worship, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons. or ....... 15-16- Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. ....... 22. , Acts 2:1, And when the day of Pentecost was fully come! (We must mentioned to you that the day you start to count the omer is not from the weekly Sabbath but the day after the annual Sabbath which is the Feast of Unleavend Bread, so Pentecost will not always fall on a Sunday.) But also on this 50th. day of the omer counting, begins where it is in context with: .......
The context of this verse falls within the timeframe of the Days of Unleavened Bread, as verse 8 summarized the seven days and that the seventh day was a time of holy convocation. The Sabbath referred to in verse 11 could have only been the weekly Sabbath that fell within the Days of Unleavened Bread. If it were counted from either one of the Holy Days (first or seventh), then Pentecost would always fall on the same day of the month year after year and would not have to be counted. but! NOT ON A SUNDAY ALL THE TIME,
and that for the people that knows of this error will continue until their time is over! , but! : it does not mean that: Hebrews 10:25 ....... Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching, Hebrews 10:25
, and other scriptures are also of this context, like Daniel 11:32 ....... And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits, Daniel 11:32
Yep! and then some!
