Satan Wants Your Children

[Prov 22:6] Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.

This is the biggest Conspiracy that our children and the media mafia go mostly un-noticed by young parents. There is a Spiritual War (Eph 6:12) for our very survival as pop-culture is becoming more of what Satan wants through media; to infiltrate divide and Subjugate the God-given authority of parenthood. As parents we need to look beyond what the significance of the media mafia portray and look at the spirit behind the popular culture revolution today.

Satan's Attack On The Family Through Television

Mothers and Fathers! I plead to you to protect your little ones from the curse of television. There is such depravity being introduced to young minds these days. There is no limit to what the eyes see and what the ears hear, even as adults we will never forget some images that get embedded into our memory banks. Many streaming or pay per view television stations have grown these last 10 years show nothing more than straight out pornography, blood lust, occultism and gender confusion which is being introduced to our Children. Music Television Stations are often filled with innuendoes and nasty lyrics, I like to call songs with sexual lyrics as candy music. The sweet hook gets you first with the tune and before you know it we hear young children singing along without the full impact of what they are singing; not knowing its true impact on their fragile minds.

When my children were young the Lord impressed upon me to vet all that my children were watching and listening too. This was in the nineties when my kids wanted what their friends wanted. For the sake of ethics; nothing has changed from the nineties as to this day. Mums and dads cannot rely on the TV to entertain their young ones if you are not there to vet what they are watching. My son when he was 8 wanted to listen to rock music. We must be aware that the window of influence is small compared to the teens when their music changes slightly. My lad was first introduced to punk rock before 10 years old. I belonged to a Christian streaming website that allowed me to get the songs for him. As the content was Christian I was fine with giving him the choices of what I gave him to listen too. As his music tastes changed when he was nearing 12 he wanted to hear heavier music. ‘Screamo’ was his favourite genre at that time. I gave him the entire Christian Screamo he wanted. His dress changed and his appearance too. Still; I felt the lord still leading me to lead my son in the music. He laughs about it today. He is in his thirties now and jests that what was funny was with the noise of ra ra ra then with the odd injection of Jesus in there was what he remembers. He was not much into TV when growing up. We did however both watched SpongeBob and X-Men together.

Raising a daughter is much different than raising a son insofar as TV and music. My young daughter liked pop and the developing hip hop genre. I did not let her watch music TV or certain movies either that promoted rebellion and the reduction of parents to money and bothersome people. I would comb the internet to find her music and shows to listen to and watch certain shows that were wholesome. I spent many hours preparing music and TV shows for my daughter. When it came to top 40 and hip-hop I listened to every song, if the music drowned out the lyrics I would go online to read the lyrics and have my approval or not. I felt at ease knowing my daughter was listening to a lot of music that passed my stringent litmus test. When she wanted to dance we found a hip-hop dance club run by a church-she danced many years and even got picked to dance at concerts and workshops’ at high schools. As a mum herself now she is following on from my guiding hand for her son.

It was hard work and many hours praying for guidance for a few years but it has paid off. We gave them lots of leeway for them to learn and make mistakes. We were not total authoritarian.
Pray for guidance for your young ones, pray for them. Teach a child the way they should go and they will not depart from it as the good-book says.

Protecting Our Kids from Harmful Entertainment

Jesus said this about children who in Jesus’ day were seen as inferior:
Mark 9:36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, 37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. (Mar 9:36 KJV)

Our young children are precious. They need our Love, attention and guidance-let us start straight away and beat the traps set for them and us.
You may have had a similar experience as I have. If you are much younger than I you may want to take up the challenge for the protection of your little ones. Maybe you have got your own way of censorship for your children, if you have, please share.

This is good ... but the situation has changed hugely since your children were young. The influence of tv and radio has been totally eclipsed by social media, and it is much more difficult to monitor.

Im sure generations to come will look back in horror at how we allowed children to be exposed to so much negative influence - just the same as we look back appalled at 8 year olds working 12 hour shifts in 19th century factories.

For the mobile phone is being used to inform children about homework and school schedules etc., and their school work is linked to computer based information. Yes, and phones are woven into friendship groups as well. We didn't have a tv for much of our children's days growing up, and glad of it. But without a phone they are cut off from friends and conversation - don't know what's happening, where to meet etc.

Hello @Hekuran,

The battle for the mind and heart of men is visible in this isn't it. Keeping the mind so occupied, or distracted that they have no time to think. Everything is instant, information is at at their fingertips, and the opportunity for influence is broadened. It is seen as a wonderful tool, a liberating instrument, but can on itself enslave and confine both the body and mind, and break down face to face conversation and relationships. It can be a tool but also a weapon, and a means of ensnarement.

Your warning, 'Be aware of your mind-set', is worthy of note.

At first glance I thought that the words you had placed in capital letters spelt out the word 'BEWARE', instead of 'BE AWARE', and it prompted me to look up the use of the word BEWARE in the Scriptures yet again. It is worth reading them within their contexts, taking note what the Lord is warning His disciples about, and why. For the dangers have not gone away.

Peter and Paul also use this word, and again not without good reason.

I think it's much more than just television. In fact I would say it's more in the line of the telephone.

I'm a truck driver by trade, and I can tell you the telephone and texting is the highest form of entertainment on the freeway. And the scariest.

But I'm not even looking at that when it comes to what you're talking about. It's not so much the indoctrination of all that is anti-god that is so bad. What I also see which is even worse, the busyness of being on the phone so much of your time.

As a truck driver, I'm not allowed to be on the phone for those type of things. And I say thank God. As I drive down the road I'm often praying, or just plainly talking to God. And I spend a lot of time doing these things everyday.

In contrast, even my wife and children who are not doing satanic type things on their phones. Are still occupying their time by just being busy on the phone.

Things we used to do, like play cards or have game night have all gone by the wayside now. Some of that being the fact that my children have moved out and have their own families. But I still do not have game night with my wife, just playing cards with the neighbors or simple things like that. Now she is so much into her phone which I complain about.

Have you been to church lately, and seen so many people on their phones during the service. It's such an addiction, worse than any drug.

We need to get back to the simple things that Jesus did in his life, to go off and pray. To be with the Father. Or to just walk with God and see his creation without all the noise, without being so busy.

One of my many comforting verses in the Bible is the one above. When all seems out of control, our Lord and Commander is right beside us giving us the know-how and courage to face the world head on. It is imperative to read The Word of God. Knowing who we are in Jesus helps to alleviate some fears we may experience in today’s culture. [Rev 22:20]… Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, [c]come, Lord Jesus.[KJV]

We await His return with gladness in our heart.

I like my privacy. I have been a member of this site for a very long time and post little. I don’t belong to any social media sites either; I am your average Joe. My life does not revolve around my phone, tablet or pc. I like to read and write with the odd thought posted here. Talk Jesus is the only Christian site I belong to. Chad and the team do a marvelous job promoting the Love of God and truly caring for other’s well-being.

What worked for me and my children in the 90’s seems quite simple compared to today. If I can digress here for a bit…In the cold-war day’s dossiers on people were collated and stored in secret. Vaults had every little nuance and historical record of a person, families, their habits and just about everything they did. Every side did it. Let’s fast forward to today. There is no need to have anything on paper. It is all collected in data collection points online and stored offline to be used when needed. Nothing is private these days. We are truly in the midst of a Dystopian Society. One other thing; as Christians we know the story of Eve with the apple. I believe that the Apple Computing Company symbol is the bite out of the apple eve bitten which goes way back to the beginning. The first Apple computer was sold for $666 dollars [1].

I know a family who have a 5 year old and a 3 year old; a majority of their time is with their faces at their tablet. I am not saying it is wrong. What I am saying is from my OP is we have little time to mold and shape our young ones before the world seduces (I don’t use that lightly) them. We as parents and Grandparents can control what happens in the home. When they are (Children) over their friends house we have no control. It takes courage to go against the grain and raise our children with the Christian experience. It does take effort and perseverance over some years to guide our children in the way they should go!

Why did I use the cold war example? Anything digital leaves a ‘Digital Footprint’. Everything is kept. Do you get what I mean? There are a couple of other topics from this one that we could delve more into from this topic. Keep our kids safe until they can disseminate the media mafia themselves and take action.

As I have finished typing this over some time (Covid) I have seen other topics here now. Can we explore these as well?

This is proving to be a good discussion. It would be good to consider other topics of similar nature, as @Furious_Love has suggested in reply#11.

All of these devices are isolating, they take you away from face-to-face communication, and deprive you of the social interaction that establishes friendship and community. It has already led to an increase in loneliness and anxiety. The ability to communicate in word is being lost, and the resultant introspection, and isolation is creating problems, mentally and socially. Talking can take the lid off anger and frustration, and give an opportunity for negative feelings to be dissipated, and lose their destructive force. Most people have the need to be understood and accepted by their fellow-man, and if their ability to communicate becomes blunted and cease to function, that becomes more difficult to achieve.

What can the Christian community do to stem the tide of negativity that these devices are producing, if only within their own community?

What Christian communities can do is offer true community - somewhere that young people can connect with others of every age in relationships that are stable, nuturing and honest. That means Bible studies and worship, it alao means hanging out, meals together, pursuing common interests, and generally be committed to life together.

Winter, a lovely name for a beautiful time of year. It's actually my favorite season. As a truck driver most people think I'm a little bit crazy when I tell them I love driving in snow.

Anyways you're right to say that the darkness is trying to manipulate people via the telephone and social media. It's not only the children that he's after though he's after the breakup of families and to make our lives busy. Busy in the sons of not thinking about God but thinking about everything else but God.

And this is true with everybody Christians and everybody else alike doesn't really matter who you are or what you are. The more that he can pull us away from God in any vein whatsoever the more of a victory he has.

The devil's only concern, is to get us away from God. He might hate God but I think he might actually hate us worse. Just for the fact that we have the Redemption through Jesus, and that God works with us in creation of children. And God works with us with many other things like inventions and so on because all those inventions are not by us alone but with the inspiration of God.

But all the things all the things that come up that become of Satan were first thought up by people who were inspired to come up with these ideas. Such things like cloning or all the different types of medicines and so on and even social media. These were not first thought of by Satan but thought of people who were inspired by God. All scene can do is find what has been done and then try to corrupt it to his own benefit.

Winter, a lovely name for a beautiful time of year. It's actually my favourite season. As a truck driver most people think I'm a little bit crazy when I tell them I love driving in snow.

Anyways you're right to say that the darkness is trying to manipulate people via the telephone and social media. It's not only the children that he's after though he's after the breakup of families and to make our lives busy. Busy in the sons of not thinking about God but thinking about everything else but God.

And this is true with everybody Christians and everybody else alike doesn't really matter who you are or what you are. The more that he can pull us away from God in any vein whatsoever the more of a victory he has.

The devil's only concern, is to get us away from God. He might hate God but I think he might actually hate us worse. Just for the fact that we have the Redemption through Jesus, and that God works with us in creation of children. And God works with us with many other things like inventions and so on because all those inventions are not by us alone but with the inspiration of God.

I wanted to click on the 'like' button, after reading and agreeing with you in the first half of your post, but I am prevented from doing so, because of the assumptions you have made within your post in what followed, Bill.

- You say that Satan hates God, are we actually told that in Scripture?
- You say that Satan hates us, again are we actually told that in Scripture?
- Were the people who invented the things you mention actually inspired by God to do so?

You may have verses which will answer these questions, and make it possible for me to agree wholeheartedly with you, but I sometimes think that we ascribe a lot of things to Satan, which he is not in fact guilty of.

I think that a lot of the corrupt uses that these newly invented gadgets are put to, comes from man's own imagination, and the corruption within man's own heart, he really does not need Satan for that.

Also inventions that have the appearance of being very much to man's advantage in the prolonging of life etc., do not always serve man for the best. For where God in His mercy would take a life, man seeks to prolong it, but it requires the taking of seriously strong medication for the rest of their lives, and often means a painful existence.

I agree with you, winter is an amazing year. Besides you can always respond that seen as their is snow on the road... you already know it is dangerous thus less likely to have an accident !

I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts on Satan, except for the aspect of 'hate.' In this regard, I side with @complete's stance. I see Satan as the king of deception, finding pleasure in manipulating and tempting individuals. I believe that his true intention lies in breaking our connection with the Lord, rather than simply hating us. This belief resonates with scripture, such as 2 Corinthians 11:14 which warns of Satan disguising himself as an angel of light to deceive us.

Furthermore, in John 8:44, Jesus describes Satan as the father of lies, reinforcing the idea that deception is at the core of his nature.

I think it is safe to say, he hates it when his tactics do not work and would get frustrated which is seen with Job in the Old testament.

LOL, I can tell that you've never been involved in an exorcism. I think anybody that has been involved in an exorcism I mean the real thing would have no problem with that comment. About does Satan hate God or does Satan hate us.

Actually if you are ever to meet someone that does that, just ask him what the darkness thinks about the mother of Jesus. The person doing an exorcism will get a earful of swear words and all sorts of foul language on the subject.

If there's anything that comes out of the darkness I would say that there is some respect but it's not the type of respect that's in a good manner. More respect out of fear when it comes to God.

You have to remember when it comes to the scripture there are limitations. The apostles themselves stated that not everything that was spoken was written down. That the scripture was only meant as a tool to get us all started on the right Road.

Jesus himself said that he would send the Holy Spirit. And it is through the Holy Spirit that we would continue our education in the Lord.

I'm going to start up a thread on the subject so we don't go off base on this particular thread
