2 Corinthians 4:18

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Now, that is not an outer seeing, that's an inner seeing because if it's unseen then it's not seen with the natural eyes. Like, in Joshua 6:1,2 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. 2 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. Notice, God said see while the wall was still up, before the battle even got started God said see so that was not an outer seeing. There is an inner seeing: (Habakkuk 2:2-3) And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. (Proverbs 29:18) Where there is no vision, the people perish. The word vision in those verses is translated "revelation" in The Strongs Concordance. So, where there is no revelation the people perish. And revelation is what you see inside. And the revelation you see inside will change all circumstances outside. Because, it says the vision will come so if the vision comes that means your circumstance can't stay the same.

For example the Shunamite woman in 2 Kings 4 when her son died and it reads: And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers. 19 And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. 20 And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died. 21 And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out. 22 And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again. 23 And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well. 24 Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee. 25 So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite: 26 Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well. And the man of God went with her and raised him up. But, if she only had outer vision things would have turned out differently. She was not moving by what she saw outside, she was moving by what she saw inside. And she was calling things that be not as though they were. Now, she was not denying the circumstances, she was just speaking according to what she was seeing, inside. Now someone that only sees outside would have thought she lost it, that she was crazy. No, one is seeing outside conditions and the other is seeing inside revelation.

One of the most important things you can do is learn the difference between fact and truth. A fact is-Fact is basically something that exists, or is present in reality. Hence, these are things that can be seen visually, and these are the things that can actually be verified. It is not just something that you believe, but rather these are more or less the things that can be observed empirically, or by the senses. So, facts can be seen and heard, as well as proven by the other senses. So, facts involves the senses. Truth is- Truth can be described as the true state of a certain matter. And we have a way to determine what's truth and what's fact. Jesus said, God's word is truth, so anything contrary to God's word might be fact, but it can never be truth. Jesus said in John 8:31,32- Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. That's where revelation comes in, revelation is when God reveals the truth of a matter. In one scripture it calls The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of truth. The facts are what you observe outside, but the truth is what you see inside. And what you see inside is what God uses to get you out of your issue. 1 Corinthians 1:26-28 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are.

When it says things which are not he's not talking about things that don't exist because if it doesn't exist you can't call it a thing. He's talking about things that are not manifested. For Example Abraham and Sarah his wife- In Genesis 17:4,5,15 God speaking to Abram it says, 4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. But there was a problem, Romans 4:19 says, And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: So, God revealed something to him(the truth, yet unseen) that was totally contrary to his present circumstances(the fact, what was seen). Notice, he didn't consider the facts of the matter only the truth what God said. And God used that truth to change his present facts. How, by getting them to speak in line with what he said. He changed their names to agree with what He said-Abraham means Father of a multitude. And Sarah means- Princess of nations. Agreeing with the word of God that is revealed to you is always important. One reason why how far you can see is important is because as we all know we say according to what we see. And if all you can see is the facts then you will talk the facts. But, the thing is you go as far as you see and say.

Example the children of Isreal, when Moses sent out 12 spies to spy out the promise land for forty days and when they came back 10 of them had an evil report and 2 of them had a good report. Numbers 13:32,33 - 32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. And they go on in Numbers 14:1-3:And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! 3 And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? But 2 of them had a good report Numbers 14:6-9- 6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: 7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. 8 If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. 9 Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not. And as a result of what they saw and said Numbers 14: 28-30- 28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: 29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me. 30 Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. Notice, everyone went as far as they saw and said.

So, you see to say because what you see is what you will say and that's on the flesh side as well as on the spirit side. And what you say you establish (in the spirit) Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. Notice, it was nothing in the natural keeping them from what God said. But, as Jesus said in Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Proverbs 30:32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. Even though you might think something don't let it come out of your mouth and establish it. And sometimes people think that things are just happening naturally, just bad luck, check up on the words that you've spoken and forgotten about. Look at Joshua in Joshua 6:26 God had him to speak a curse- And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the Lord, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. (In other words when he lays the foundation his oldest son will die and when he put up the gates his youngest son will die.) And somewhere between 700 to 1000 years later in 1 Kings 16:34: In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun. You might speak words and forget about them, but the spirit realm doesn't. That's why the scripture says, "If you thought evil lay thy hand upon thy mouth." Because, it's just a thought, but once you speak it you set things in motion in the spirit realm that will work until they come to pass even though you may have forgotten about them.

That's what Jesus was talking about by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned. Revelation is powerful because it shows you things that are reality in the spirit, things have to be reality in the spirit before they can be reality in the physical. And the things God shows you faith is the substance of them. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Those things not seen are the same things in 2 Corinthians 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. Remember, you see so you can say. Take for example the woman with the issue of blood, notice what Jesus told her, "Thy faith hath made thee whole." Notice, the first key thing she did is say how she saw it, "If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole." Faith is not something that you just hold on to in you. Notice, what Jesus said in Matthew 17:20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. So, it's not just about speaking, it's when your speaking is an expression of your faith. Faith requires expression or release and the main way you express or release your faith is by your words, if you have faith ye shall say. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.

Also, your faith finds expression by your actions (faith without works is dead), works is corresponding actions. Your actions should correspond with your faith. In Acts 14:7-10 it reads: And there they preached the gospel. 8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: 9 The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. Notice, the man had faith to be healed, but he was not healed. Paul gave him an action to do, "Stand upright on thy feet" and once he acted his faith he was healed. So, faith is not just something you hold inside. It needs to be released, find expression. The woman with the issue of blood released her faith when she said, "If I may but touch his clothes I shall be whole." And when she came in the press and touch his clothes that was an expression of her faith (a corresponding action). And Jesus said, "Thy faith hath made thee whole", her words and her actions. In verse 32 of Mark 5 it says, And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. What thing did she do? By faith she brought her revelation (what she saw) from the inside to the outside. That's why Matthew 12:34,35 says: 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. A physical thing does not come out of your heart, but the substance of the thing(faith) comes out of your heart.

And when there is a release of your faith then you receive your revelation manifested. And John 1:14 takes place, the word becomes flesh (manifested). Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. The hearing of the word is how faith comes and the speaking of the word is how it's released. So, God gave him the process of how to keep faith coming and releasing it, by not letting the word depart out of his mouth. And by that he would make his way prosperous, that word will start manifesting. I see why he had faith to tell the sun and moon to stand still and what happened, they stood still. That was done by the release of his faith. He spoke according to what he saw (inside). If you get it on the inside you can have it on the outside. Jesus said in Mark 4 in the Parable of The Sower that the seed is the word of God and the place that the seeds are planted is in the heart(inside). So it's the word of God that gets in you that will produce results for you. When you understand that the heart of man is like soil you will be careful of the seeds you allow to be planted in you. So, let your seeing and saying be in line with the word of God.

It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
